How do you use a cage

I cant figure it out what do I do at the pet trainer?

    Look under the Quests when you talk to the Pet Trainer (Say like, in LC) and she'll ask for fodder or cage. Pick the cage one then talk to her again to turn in the quest. Make sure the cage is in your inventory!

    Did you get the super pet cage perhaps?

    If you did, you need to go to that one NPC that stands around near the banker in any major city. Forgot her name (Inventory Master maybe?) but she'll have a quest for you saying to turn in a super pet cage.

    I believe it is in Etherblade near the banker.

    They are also located in LC, Plume, Archosaur, 1k Stream, and Dreamweaver. :P

    Yeah it's not working for me either. I bought 2 cage expansions (not super cage) and I even trashed the super cage quest from my list. Still can't get pet trainer, pet manager or inventory manager to accept the cages in any way shape or form. I've logged out & back in. Nothing works.

    Very frustrating when I have an egg to hatch & am having even worse luck trying to figure out what drops the hay/greens/fodder stuff so I can expand my bag in that quest. And why is THIS the only item with three arbitrary names that no one seems to know or say ANYTHING about?

    Where is a decent players manual or a forum where full answers are given instead of just very generalized one or two sentences that assume you already know everything? It's getting frustrating. I want to PLAY not study. b:cry

    Bingo! I figured it out.

    Go to your quest list & delete the quest that the Pet Trainer gave you to find 20 hay to expand your bag by one slot. Once that quest is deleted go to Pet Trainer & she will have the same quest now available. Click her... click "quest related"... click Pet Bag... then choose the option to bring her a cage. Once she gives the quest then go through that again & give her the cage to complete the quest.

    Geez... what a PROCESS... but I now have two new pet slots! YAY! b:laugh

    You could of just gotten hay and fruit for those two slots and forgot about the stones.I would of bought the super cage in this case.

    Yeah well when you are new around here & there is no user's manual to read so you learn the rules & how things work all you can do is the best you can. I could only buy 24 zen & needed inventory space & bank space & so forth.

    As for hay... that's a joke right? I killed turtles for hours & hours & not one single hay drop. I'm barely getting to level 20 now & that is by literally living on this game every chance I get. You can't get hay on lower levels. Not unless you buy it. I'd rather level than grind for money. You level faster doing quests. So... I bought pet slots with my zen.

    Try with the rhinos ar Archo and Antelopes at Silver Pool but hard is hard to drop u got the 8% to drop it u will work hard.

    So, the main question was how to use cages. Let me break it down in about 3 easy steps.

    1. Buy the actual Pet Cage(s) off the Botique(2g per).

    2. Wait until AFTER you complete the quest that involves trapping the sacred beast by luring the creature with the cooked Rhinodrake Plainswalker flesh(this quest is given to you at level 7, providing you have completed the prerequisite quests before it).

    3. Once you turn in and finish the quest with the Pet Skill Trainer, she will award you with an extra pet bag slot, as well as having the green quest emblem over her head(repeatable quest). That is when you choose the "Quest Related" option, choose "Pet Bag", and then select either the option to gather mats from mob drops, or option B, to bring a Pet Cage.
