Johnathan Belliss, the product manager of PWI, had an interview recently which you can watch here.

If you listen he says he won't reveal much about the expansion but...

"It involves something players have been dying for and asking for over and over"

...What have we been asking for over and over?!?! I'm curious! It may give insight as to what is to come =O

    Sounds like they're just trying to build up hype for some mediocre release. That said, it could be something decent. Perhaps TW map resets?

    No, I don't doubt the next expansion will be good IF the quote wasn't directed to 5 players PWI staff saw on forums that happened to want the same thing.

    Haven't seen much demand for TW resets but it's a possibility ^o^

    At least a fix for flesh ream in OUR version would be nice. Also arena please :3

    Yes, this was announced at E3:

    "However, since then, the Perfect World design team has released two expansions, with a new one planned for release this fall."

    Besides, it has already been stated that there are going to be some new additions including new ways to get Mysterious Chips. Therefore with the release of the Weapons Guide, one my think that it would have something to do with that. Additionally, there are PLENTY of additions that can be made based on the other versions of this game.

    The interview was recent, he talks about the genie expansion as current ^o^

    Actually, when you rewind the history a bit, the most problematic "thing" (before herc/nix ever came out) was the removal of Darkness Stamps from fb69 and onward, promising in return a "new" system for gaining rep in those FBs. If that isn't what the people asked over and over (or removing flight in TWs <.<), then I really don't know ...

    Also mr.spoons, what are the chance for PWE to kick our GameMasters.com out of the way, and release a GMT based set of servers? xD

    And yes, I know the interview is recent, but they announced the expansion at E3, the interview is just slightly more information and somewhat of a confirmation of it and its potential to be released. (I say potential because when it comes down to it you never know).

    And I am sure there are some of us who know "what it's not" as well.

    If people did the proper research and looked at the right "news" and conventions taking place, there are hints all around as to what it is not and what it potentially may be.

    What bothers me is that people are going to get themselves all excited and riled up and then they are going to complain when it is not what THEY want. There is still plenty of time before this is going to happen and everyone will have a much better idea as to what it REALLY is going to be.

    People speculating on what it is, what it should be and what it might be is only going to cause more "QQ'ing" in the end. Oh...and did I mention that the GM's will get blamed b:sweat.

    hmm...

    Arena was meant to have been implemented since the beginning.
    Flesh ream should have been a footnote in a patch long ago.
    GM's said before there are no plans for a housing system(same with refining transfer).
    hmmm...

    could be more added to the map a new class could be a multitude of things but GMs arent allowed to reveal it so wait and see what it is

    I say steal the devs from thier families, double thier pay, and make them work with 4 hours of sleep every two nights and get this expansion out sooner.
