Wizzy PvP?

Hey just looking for some general advice, I've rolled a pure Arcane Wizzy on a PvP server and I just can't seem to find what I'm suppose to be doing.

Where do I fit into PvP?

Short of waiting till someone if engaged with a mob and sneaking up on them and using spark - hardest hitting spell and hoping they die. Thats not PvP!

I don't have any viable stuns so battling with any class who can stun seems to be instant death. I've tried battling BMs being a melee class I thought great I can kite them, unfortunately not as they sprint, stun and im dead in 1-2 hits. I've tried battling an Archer same problem, stun, deadly shot and I'm eating dirt before I even get to move/cast.
I've tried against Clerics but again its the same problem, they silence me, cast lightning which for some reason does silly damage to me despite me having what I consider to be good magic defense.
I've tried against a Veno 5 levels lower than me with or without their pet and with pet it was a no chance battle, without pet they still won but only just. I've not really fought against barbs so can't comment.

What do you guys advise I do as I'm really at a loss as to what I'm suppose to do except re-roll as a different class that might actually be able to participate in some form of PvP combat.

    Nowhere. at low level we're just meat for every other class. If you're not planning to go over lvl 80 with your wizz, don't put 1 sec in it, it' not worth it. Wizz is not a class for occasional gamer, it's for semi-pro/pro gamers. Those will make the wizz shine. The rest will just complain about it being underpowered.

    restat to LA, search armor that has a lot of pdef options or HP.
    And bear the burden until lvl 70+ where you have some skills that can do some dmg.
    If you want to do a lot of pvp I suggest to roll a veno with nix or archer. Easy classes to do pvp with.

    I'm level 68 almost 69 I don't have specific plans to go to 80, it will happen as I play but not trying to get there as fast as possible or anything.

    Bit of a problem restatting, its going to cost at least 3-4 large reset notes at 5g's each and I've just sank 10 million into getting the stuff to make, shard and refine Arcane TT70 armours (all my ingame item/cash have been bought using my birthday money so around $250 and I've not got any left).

    Is their any way to PvP as an arcane wizzy? Or have I pretty much just thrown away $250 and 3 1/2 weeks of my time leveling from 1-68?

    Uh...I'm sorry to tell you, but those 250$ should have been spent on a Herc and Nix.
    Then with a filthy rich veno you could finance every other char.
    But yeah, you can PvP with an arcane wizzy. You just have to get the best possible robes outthere (with pdef and HP options) and socket them to 4 and put pdef on all sockets. Refine them at least to +3, wear some pdef ornaments (belt + necklace), legendary if you can.This is a huge investment and giving the fact you will outgrow them is not the best idea to do this unless you're at endgame lvl.

    You know what? I can easily break through charm of 6X barb and almost killed 69+ charmed archer (with 69 legendary slingshot). This is without charms or buffs, just earth shield on. Equpment is quite cheap, mostly quest items with 5g shards. With charm on, it'd be much better, but I'm saving for sakyamuni's light and other things... carebear >_>
    Of course, if you are pure arcane build and not vit like me, it would be significantly harder; but with wise choise of genie skills and with good equipment you can surely do something BAD :3
    I'd recommend to switch to carebear mode, level past 70 and make 7X armor/ornament set with good hp/def bonuses and mild refinement (all +2, ornaments +3-4, i'd say). And s.light, of course. +200 def is something. Good equipment is a must for us wizzies. After that, you can consider restatting some points into vit if you feel too fragile.

    How do I survive long enough to beat a barbs charm though. Yeah I can do the damage, but soon as I'm stood still for 2-3 seconds to cast hes at me, stunned me and hacking into me with me unable to break the stun in time to move/distance shrink away. Only way I've found I can beat someone is to wait till their otherwise engaged, spark and lay into them so that they cant react, thats not exactly fun PvP is it? Its no better than playing as a veno and nixing anything you see.

    Got all my level 7x armours already they dont come with any HP/PDef bonuses though none of the TT70 arcane stuff does. Their also refined all to +2/3 and socketed with beautiful/flawless mixed between HP/PDef.

    I'm using vit build, so it is easier, even with lower damage (3k hp, 1.8k def now). HP helps very much, that's why i recommended to level up and equip your 7X set: you'll check your survivability and will see if you need some additional vit or refinements.

    Also, i use genie skill named "Occult Ice". It's just level 1 for now, but still it's additional 3sec close-range stun. Very useful against melee, though i still often forget to use it.

    Don't expect much out of your wizard till at least 80, when you can obtain a new weapon and undine strike.
    Can't say much about lowbie pvp as robes because I was LA till 90, but the key for me even now is to not get hit. Learn to utilize distance shrink and always fight in the air so you can drop for half damage.

    You can be stunned while flying. I don't know how many times I've been stunned by nixes in the air.
    Bladestorm lets you spin around like a carnival ride and do damage. Not using it is almost like having a move called Confetti Rocket Power Leap and saving it for "emergencies"

    if you're both in the air the dmg is full.
    only when fighting air-vs-ground or ground-vs-air the dmg is halved.

    In TW I'm always in the air, unless I drop to nuke a cata-puller.
    I like the 3d movement the air combat offers. On land you're pretty much stuck there, in the air a wizz can be as elusive as player skills allow. Blink, drop, get some elevation, hit, drop again but not enough to hit the ground, nuke, blink ... I don't know, just endless ways of combining skills with movement. Can't do that on the ground.

    i thought that it was only Air-vs-Ground that was reduced. I thought if you were the one on the ground and was attacking someone in the air, you would do normal damage and the flying person would be halved?

    Or am I crazy? :s

    ground vs air does full damage i believe.
    in TW i stay on the ground cuz its irritating just getting back up to have someone in vent yell MIZUONI GET YOUR **** DOWN HERE AND GET THIS CATA. if i could i would like to fly on my precious zuriels blade

    I'm the opposite I prefer the ground especially since the air does half dmg to me and in the air I find blink less useful. I especially get more mobility with holy path now on the ground (I wish it worked in the air) and have never really had any issues using the kiting ppl tactics with ground techniques.
