What is difference between PVP and PVE servers?

im going to take a guess at this, but tell me if im wrong, im sorta new to the game.

Are pvp servers different in the way that if you go into the territory of another race, they can kill you or somethin? like WoW?

    On a pvp server you are forced into white name (pk mode) starting at lvl 30.

    On a pve server you can turn into pk mode whenever you want starting lvl 30. If you turn white name in a pve server you will have to wait 10 hours before changing back to blue name.

    PvP = Player vs. Player... Someone can come along and kill you while you are out grinding, doesn't matter if you don't want them to.

    PvE = Player vs Enemy... Players can only attack / kill you if you turn on PK mode, but careful, if you go into PK mode, it stays on for quite a long time. O.o

    When you leave towns/villages you'll notice a message on the chat menu saying 'now leaving safe zone'. On PvE servers you can ignore it, it doesn't affect you.

    On a PvP server people can kill you(as long as your over lv.30) once you leave the safe zone.

    You can enter PK mode on a PvE server once you hit 30(only other players who are in PK mode can kill you though).
    Currently flying internet spaceships around dodixie, moving to amarr soon.

    If their name is red you can get some of the smexxy gear he was wearing. This goes both ways so be careful.

    If they are red names (killing somebody that didn't defend) they have a chance of dropping items from their equips/inventory.

    If they are light pink (after attacking someone or killing somebody that did defend) they have a chance to drop something from their inventory.

    This item dropping thing can be avoided by having dolls on you.

    EDIT: light pink doesn't last very long.

    It is.

    You can choose to go in pk mode.

    I think Mon was questioning an earlier post that said PvE meant Player vs Enemy. I'm pretty sure it's vs Environment. b:laugh

    Yups, PVE servers are more fun, since you get to choose when to have fun :)
