How do u kill Clerics?
I have the Genie skill which makes u immune to sleep for 5.2 secs but they still just heal i stun them they sleep. it just seems all the dmg i do is healed.
Is there any way of beating them at all?

    I may not be a wizard expert, but a well timed blade tempest should be the trick.

    yes blade tempest does hurt us howewer if ur not LA we can 1-2 shot kill u u with plum shotb:cute
    but in the time u cast it(blade tempest) ur already dead....(im talking wiz and cleric the same lvl)

    If the cleric hasn't tried dueling a Wizard before, then simply FoW->Sutra Nukes, that usually kills them.

    If they are experienced they'll sleep you once they recover from FoW.

    A Blade Tempest maxed to your level will be enough to kill them twice, but in duels you probably won't land this. Easier in pk when another player can distract the cleric whilst you channel.

    Clerics seem to be up there with BM's in terms of dueling strength, they are the only class that can take down a Nix veno without worrying about Flesh Ream(thanks to the length of the sleep).
    Currently flying internet spaceships around dodixie, moving to amarr soon.

    Well dueling is nasty ,because if you don't kill them in the 1st go they'll just start healing and hit and healing and hit you etc.Pk is somewhat different tho' ,now with extreme poison + undine ,even magic can hurt them with a proper sutra combo. Tick their charm before using sutra tho' and make sure they used sleep so they won't stop you.This can somewhat be countered in lots of ways tho' so best way I'd say to do it is try to get a blade tempest off at 51-60% hp.This involves lvl 79+ and the need of you having undine strike + sophoric whisper to pull it off(against non-r3tarded clerics atleast),as that 4 sec sleep is just what you need to channel a BT undisturbed while they can't do nothing(make sure to use extreme poison right before BT hit's).

    About their attack's...I find it easy to handle with heart of steel(metal resist genie skill) + frequent seals (I'm LA so plume shot doesn't do much to me) ; I got this skill since it's usefull vs 3 classes (archers,clerics and now all the bms who are depending on the "dragon >> thunderstorm" combo .

    However it's usually a very long battle as the cleric heal's in pk too but if he heal's = he won't kill. Also if I see him healing I distance shrink away till I notice it wear's off.This can basically never end if he play's more on defense.
    If he complain's that I move away from him I say :" Hey you got your heal, I got my teleport , live with it :P ).

    I like Ayano's ideas, but pre undine and pure like me have various other issues. Plume will murder you period. Your best bet is ES and hit as many of your nukes as you can. Right after ES don't forget xtreme poison. If they are somehow alive at the end of it all FoW and hit another nuke or wait for the rain of plume's and say gg and move on.

    I've dueled a cleric in my faction with me using Dragon's Breath and him using BB, we just cancelled each other out O_o

    Also I can two-shot Alyyy with my DB b:laugh

    With my current equipment, Plume Shot and Cyclone both deal similar damage to me now. The problem is, I can't kill a cleric. Its very hard to do it alone.
    Vitality build Clerics at level 90+ have 5.5k - 6.5k hp.
    Because of their buffs, their magic defence is also higher than your's as a wizard.

    Even with 8.8k matk, I can hit clerics for roughly 1.1k damage - 1.3k damage undined.
    A good cleric knows when to stack ironheart blessing, and it turns into a huge hiero **** fest.

    For Clerics, I'd usually just bow out and save my hiero.
    Unless I get lucky and crit several times, its much too hard to win alone.

    it's not easy if you don't know how to be a mage, and most people don't. mage needs vigor out the ****, and is useless without it(so is every class except for ea).

    Clerics of my level i wait until they sleep, cast a gush/pyro to drop hp a bit then FoW, sutra, SS, DP, SR, SS and they fall dead. if they are higher level and spam heal i cant power through it yet.

    why do we have to kill them? call an archer to 1-hit the cleric.

    PW gave us the 3 best AOE attacks of the game for a purpose... is that so hard to understand?

    Undine, sleep, sutra, glacial snare, seal, Blade temepest, sandstorm. You will need to be 89 with 3 sparks, or a chi pot for lower levels.

    If they have amazing gear with amazing pdef go for mountain seize instead of BT, should get you a couple of more seconds to finish off and amazing damage even with their robe mdef.

    In any case its best to avoid a fight with a EP, if your town portal isn't under cooldown, Distant shrink.. say gg, sutra + Town portal.

    works like charm, and saves everyone 20 seconds of their lives. :)

    Fow = 5 seconds - 2 second channelling = 3 seconds of offence
    Soro whisper = 4 second sleep = 1 attack

    So that's like 4 seconds, GUARDIAN LIGHT

    Vit Build clerics dont bother fiting them unless u have someone else.

    If not, I can always kill a cleric easily in pk.
    Undine Strike Extreme poison Gush, FoW, Blade tempest they are dead

    If they decided to sleep after i undine, simply let them do their thing, once they hit u once. Occult Ice from ur genie, Undine Extreme, FoW Blade tempest I do an average 5.5-7k on arcane clerics at my level right now

    following is the time line , u must meet the time line to kill a cleric
    Countdown
    3
    2
    1
    Sutra
    Go
    Gsnare> SS > DP > Phoenix > Gush
    Earth Strand

    The cleric should die, whatever is his built, believe me, i tested it many time with clerics below my lvl, same lvl and above 5 lvl higher than me b:victory
    don't even need to use FOW, but use after that combo if u think need.

    Earth Strand is Geine skill Immobilizing target for 3 sec and hit with earth dmg as well. they have no time to heal and plum short u.

    Starting time of Sutra combo and casting of Earth Strand MUST BE same time
    or u have no chance to kill a cleric b:bye

    *Don't bother sleep, Fow or blah blah blah to them, just kill them in 6 or 7 second(max SS, Gsnare, my fow is lvl 1)
