Anyone know when the foxform is going to be fixed?

So I was wondering if anyone knew when it is going to be fixed. Because if the magic weapon breaks you are screwed (sorta/ in a way).

So a little warning for foxform users: If the magic weapon breaks on a boss or in an instance then you will not be able to turn back into a human form.

Solution as of now for it:

-Log out then log back in (Thank you merulz for pointing that out)

Yeah, I want to know as well. It's annoying when your weapon breaks and you have to relog in the middle of a boss to get out of fox form...

then keep up repairs? how are we supposed to know the answer, maybe its not a glitch even to begin with.

There's the problem, not the skill itself. As Tear mentioned, keep up with repairs. But if for some reason you have to go without repairing for long periods of time, bring an extra magic weapon with you for such an occasion as the one you described.

The foxform is suppose to be with barehand or magical instrument but you can only get into foxform with the magic instrument due to the bug. Unfortunately when it broke with the last boss (Huge Death Knight Dude), I was unable to turn back into my human form. The breaking of the weapon was like I had no weapon at all whic meant no turning back into human.

And the magic weapon was new so the endurance was maxed.

The skill does have something wrong with it.

Now equip a magic weapon and turn into foxform
Result: You turn into a fox as suppose to be

Just tested this for myself. Drained a ton of my mp by constantly trying to use foxform over and over while not equipped with a weapon. It eats the mp but you don't go into foxform and the skill does not go into cooldown either so you can spam it and drain all your mp very fast.

Yep, now think of it in reverse. Your weapon is broken and you have no way of turning back. Your only result is a reduction of mana.

You cannot remove a weapon while in Fox Form. Glad someone did mention this considering I have almost broken my weapons several times lol but seems how I AM a Fox Veno turning back into the Mage really does not concern me much anyway.

When in an instance and the tank needs bramble or spark then it would be a problem.

So you can't switch your magic weapon with another magic weapon?

Lol, wish I knew that before XP. I didn't think I couldn't turn back if it broke at the time we were fighting the boss.

Actually can you equip another weapon in fox form? I thought it was like armor and any animal form can't change armor while in form. That made me loss a few good upgrades forgetting that.

simple answer to this: whenever you go to sell something, theres a button on the bottom, below the place you drag your selling items. click the button, and all your gear is fixed, and so is the problem of breakage at awkward times.

i always go foxform in dungeons for boss battles, to debuff, and never have had this problem happen, even in TT. what level is your magic weapon? if it is a low level, (if you dont use one often), perhaps it wasnt durable enough to take the beating in that kind of instance? i take it you dont usually use magic- are you a heavy veno?

reading helps. look at her signature, and her other posts :P. she was on feng in a 2-x, and IS a heavily armored one :P. though, youd assume she is probably using sakyamuni, it should be able to handle long use, just repair more often.

Once in fox, equips are locked. You can't change your weapon, armor, accessories, robe, aerogear, tone, genie, etc.

So if your weapon breaks while you're in fox, the only way to go back to mage to even equip a new one is to relog thanks to it being bugged. Annoying and I hope it'll be fixed. I like being able to use both fox AND mage based on the situation and whatever needs I may have at the moment.

then you fail. if you burn up an entire weapon on a single run you really need to change your tactics. i repair my equips about twice a week and never have a problem. and yes i can do multiple 2-x runs without repairs.

And unfortunately I do not have that mold. My stats are different so I can't even wield it. Only the TT70 axes for me :P (Let the random flames began).

Anyway...

If a GM sees my first post and sees how it effects peoples' gameplay then they could inform the devs...maybe... to get it fixed. That's the reason I put my story up in the post :P


@FoxRunning: I'm sure I know how to repair equpiment since I am... -points to sig- And yes, it is a lower magic weapon. Very low. I just wanted to try foxform once so I wasn't really paying attention since I was switching from foxform to human and back. It was my fault for letting it break (Thinking I could switch back to human afterwards) and not turning back to human to use axes.

It is a glitch, and the answer can be found simply be reading the Fox Form skill which states it can be used Barehanded or with a Magic Weapon.


As for "keep up with repairs: it is entirely possible for some builds to break their magic weapon in Fox Form while in an instance and have gone into the instance with a completely repaired magic weapon. Case in point, one of my venos is a HA veno that broke her magic weapon within the first 10 minutes in FB19 while in Fox Form (from full repair to 0 durability).
