not able to play PW

Hi this i am new to PW

Just downloaded the client and updated the patches.
It says "Unable to Preceed with update"

that means all patches are updated right?
and i am not able to see the "START" button.

can some1 please help me? or tell me where i might be going wrong?

    This message appears when you attempt to launch or patch the game while it is already running. First, check the system tray to see if Perfect World has been minimized there. If not, go to the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and end any instances you see of patcher.exe, launcher.exe, elementclient.exe, and pwprotector.exe, then try again.

    it's my 12th day of playing pw but now it says "client running/unable to proceed with updates".this isn't the first timei had thes problem,ive had to delete and redownload 3 times befor because of this problem.ty

    The system tray is the little area in the lower right corner of your desktop, next to the clock.

    And uninstalling and redownloading seems incredibly drastic. Didn't you at least try rebooting first?

    ive neve really been on a comuter in my life(other than school ofcourse)so i wouldnt know of the lil box orthink to reboot it so please excuse my ignorance ><
