Grinding For a herc/nic

i was wondering how long it takes to do this because i was thinkin about grinding for one over the summer or sumthin like that...
so yeah i was wondering how long it would take

    It took me about a month to get a nix, and herc took about the same. I started saving up for nix at lvl 36 and got it at lvl 43 (was totally focused on nix, didin't level much), discovered you cannot take nix into FBs and started saving up for herc straight after... got it by lvl 68.

    Didn't grind for them though; I farmed herbs... lots of herbs.

    I did half and half on the herc; grind and real money. For the nix I did lots of grind with some savvy capitalism to get it. I didn't spend a dime of real money. It took about 6 weeks but I got it. I've also gotten several other rare pets this way.
    So yes, it's definitely doable. You just have to be really motivated.

    For Herc i did TT for about 3 weeks straight and paid used half real cash. Luckily using the real money got me to win the bad panda mount which i sold and used the money to buy nix. b:victory

    My partner is grinding for her herc atm (with a little help from me :D)

    Going by her current progress, I'd say 4-6 weeks.

    Roughly 200 hours of grinding per pet if between levels 50 and 80. Somewhere around 280 if below 50, depending on what you do with those DQ 21 & 31 items. Slightly less if between 80 and 90. Somewhere around 120 hours at 90+. Roughly.

    It's a little bit more if you end up buying other stuff as you go (Crazy Stone post 60), a little bit less if you know how to work the market with some of your other drops and price gouge people for mats.
