ok i know this from expiernce and reading the forms, i suck at taking down archer mobs!!!!! whenever i have a quest for them i ask a high lvl archer friend of mine, or get help from someone else. they take 1/4 of my health each shot even with iron heart activated ( i usually with archer mobs us stream of rejuvination) but when i take down close range melee mobs thier a piece of cake. so is there a trick i can use to make archer mobs easier

healing? running close to them? kiting?

after a mob runs twice, they never run again. so you could simply move closer if you're so squishy.

an alternative is kiting, which is easy even if they're ranged. anything your level attacks from 15 meters, so you have plenty of time to attack and run again.

paralyze(silent seal) also works wonders on such mobs.

Don't use Stream of Rejuv! Casting time to long.

Use Ironheart before you attack. Then attack and use Wellspring or Ironheart in between if have too.

From experience though...I HATED those mobs! b:cry They are definitely not Cleric friendly. Best thing though is to get a party like you have been.

Seconding the party option, but if it is unavoidable, try with IH yourself, lure it with cyclone (small kite), activate Plume Shell (the higher level the better), and nuke till mod dies. This way, you will have to meditate a lot (if you are lucky, every 3rd mob, but it can go to after each mob), but it gets the job done...

I still remember my joy when I finished all 60 rattus sharpshooters (not sure about the name, the ones you have to kill at 56) on my own b:laugh

During the early game, whenever I came up against Archers mobs, I used to let out a huge groan! Not because they could down me in about 4 shots (Pure build at the time), but because they would put a bigger hole in my mana pool than other creatures. This was because I applied a liberal use of Plume Shell when fighting them.

    P. Shot>Cyclone>P. Shell>Ironheart (optional)>P.Shot>Cyclone….used to sort them out without much bother.

It’s certainly worth investing some SP in to Plume Shell from around lvl 20 onwards. Yes, it takes a lot out of your mana at early levels, but that just means you meditate a tad longer. I chose to use P.Shell liberally and end up meditating longer rather than chance losing EXP as I wanted to get to 60+ as soon as I could.

And look how after 2 mobs you have to meditate cause you ran out of MP...

Personally what i did and never had a problem was GC/PS/IH/GC/PS/GC
You never ended below 80%hp. *if every thing went by plan*
