Just wanted to know the price for the lvl 4 blacksmith quest items at lvl 50. Ive seen a catshop selling sawtooth blades for 450k but catshops arent really reliable for this...
2* saw tooth blades
2* heretic banishing pataka
2* ornamented bow.
???
Also does the chance of crafting a 2* or 3* bow increase the lower your level is?
Because ive heard horror stories of people wasting tonnes of money buying mats to make these weapons, but i made my 2* sawtooth blades on the first try
Not sure if this was the right forum, or was supposed to be in the Trading Post.
Admin move this if it belongs somewhere else.

I made my sawtooth and bow first try...took 5 tries at pataka before I just bought one.

So, first, I don't believe the chance of 2 or 3* changes based on level or either character or crafting level.

As far as cost, when I was looking to buy these (like months ago, keep in mind) then you could grab one fast at 300k, waiting a bit around 200k, or if you are very very lucky less than that (grabbed the pataka for 95k).

It's really tricky telling you a "price" though. You can do a rough calc of what one attempt should cost, but with no guarentee, you are really at the mercy of the people who make extra and sell them.

I'd actualy gladly pay 450k for those 2 star blades, too bad there's noone selling them on my server. I've already wasted about 1,5k mil on mats and still haven't gotten the damn thing! Crafting 30+ 1 star sawtooth blades in a row feels like a really bad joke...
Does anyone know what the chance actualy is?

There are different theories/methods to doing this:

    a) Some people swear by the Duke. Talk to him and find out which smithy/tailor is "lucky" for the day. Be prepared to spend about 10k coins for this though. Keep asking till he tells you the answer.

    b) The other other method is to try one smithy/tailor after another. You craft at A and if it does not work, move on to B, etc until you get your 2*.

    c) Another theory is having more mats than you would need. For example, if you only need 5 Rough Furs, have 10 in your inventory when you are crafting. This goes for all the mats you need to make that particular equipment.

Personally, the third method worked for me. I spent close to 1 mil before a faction mate told me about the method. Tried it and worked the first time round.

Also, I noticed that the first two would usually be 2* on the first try. The third one will take a couple of tries before getting it.

    Hope this hepls ^_^
