Doubt farren can be done on his bad days (fb39 midget boss), and the other two are a waste of time (leave the tanker job to the tanks >.>;)

Yeah, of course nothing beats a good barb, but just saying they're most likely possible in emergencies or weird situations...had some scary party wipes/messy incidents where I've needed to become substitute tank b:surrender

The kittys are the best though, hands down.

Generally, any magic using boss should be tankable.... which means possibly add Chin and Yan the Traitor to the list Aneemah provided. Leave the physical bosses to the tanks.

we can solo every miniboss to my knowledge. i think the only mini boss i had trouble with was some guy out near nameless isle, and that's because i was in the water. i recommend a physical tank for him, would make your life a lot easier.

other than that, every boss until fb51 is soloable(though i don't recommend soloing any of them at that level). epic waste of time. make some friends.

Normally its easier to let a Barb do it but our Faction is really low on high level Barbs so I offered to give Gouf a go with a lev 40 cleric healing me, the cleric got wiped but a random creature and I went down like a stone so I just wondered what I should volunteer for in the future, lol.

    Cheers for the replies guys.

I know I have spent a bit of time: when I was just bored, and a tad tired of grinding in my late 60 (69/70's) I would run around and try to figure out what Bosses I could solo:

*Key Tip: Don't got after any mobs in which are physical w/in 20-30 levels below - they will most likely kick your butt, if you're pure arcane.

(†Here is what I came up w/at that time: I'll put what additional things I had to do beside the boss, and or items required: aka: HP/MP Charm or Plume Shell.)
I've also included the Direct Link to pw-database for each: Mob/Boss

    - Charr
    - Krixxix the Dark Adalwolf Lord
    - Florafang
    - Bloodraged Cadaver
    - Bolden Goldwing
    - Farng
    - Yansheng, Hirudini Barbarian(Plume Shell may be needed since he is a phys mob)
    - Shade Eido
    - Chin, Mausoleum Watchman (Plume Shell will be wanted, HP/MP Charm pref, if stupefied - use purify)
    - Dismal Shade
    - Farren Sereneti (fb 39 - 2nd to last)
    - Hercule Trioc (fb39 - last boss)
    - Suzerix, Adalwolf Elder
    - Kashu the Hirudini Myriadept
    - Slitt (WILL EAT a CHUNK of MP Charm, but is doable. Just stack heals/purify between DDing)
    - Mantavip Scout - It's doable, but takes forever: would be best to heal a Wizard DD instead.
† (But mind you, only Plume Shell if you have a MP charm. It's the only sure fire way you won't get your panties handed to you.))

P.S. Sorry for this lengthy post. Figured if I was going to post something helpful: I should at least do it right. I hope this helps. :).

You can actually tank all of these bosses: But, if you're main tank, it's always best to have a 2nd Cleric there - to heal you. So you can keep additional DD's from grabbing a hold of Agro.

I understand why you ask the question, namely because you have a need as a result of not many tanks in your guild and you are stepping in to fill a void (Tip of the hat to you for taking the initiative) so this next comment is not aimed at you.

I hate it, as a cleric, when people shout "I'm tanking" when they are not a tank or best suited for it. By this I mean certainly there are magic bosses where it actually makes sense to have a robe class tank over a barb, but people who jump in to tank just because they think they can so long as they are propped up by a good cleric are annoying. They are mp charm and pot burners and have zero consideration that while they may get some strange video game glory from tanking a boss while you spam heal and pure you are cruising through more money then you would if a barb were actually tanking like they should. I see this happen with BMs and Archers a lot. Now sometimes Archers will steal aggro (good ones know how not to) and that's understood, but doing so from the beginning is annoying. Especially on AoE bosses since the archer is usually standing right next to you as he pulls aggro.

Sorry didn't mean to hijack. Just venting. If I was more of a **** I'd let those people die and let the real tank take it, but I have a hard time committing on that.
