Aerogear?

So I finally did the flying gear quest and have a wave rider. It's about as fast as...running on the ground but without the "on the ground" part. But, at least you don't have to divert widely to get around cliffs, so that's good I suppose.

The help window that popped up when I first used it mentioned something about an endurance bar over my head? And when it ran out I wouldn't be able to fly anymore until I opened the aerogear and put gems in it?

I'm not seeing any of this. No bar over my head, and no apparent way to "open" the wave rider.

So I looked for info in the forums and found a thread that talked about boutique aerogears and how you forge wind widgets into them in some far distant city I haven't visited yet, and that with those wind widgets, they could all be boosted to the same max speed.

If that is so, why do they have different speed ratings on their boutique descriptions?

And what's the "hasted" speed, how do you "haste" aerogear?

None of this is very well explained and the thread about wind widgets was old so rather than necropost, and thinking other new people might also have questions...can someone give me (us) some aerogear basic pointers?

Hasting is when you can force your aerogear to go beyond its regular speed. While hasted your flying mount will use up energy and when it runs out you can no longer enter hasted mode. You recharge the haste meter with chi stones obtained from decomposing pretty much any piece of equipment you can find or buy.

The reason you aren't seeing a haste meter is because the level 30 mounts you get from the quest aren't haste capable. You'll have to buy a cash shop flying mount either through the cash shop or from another player with coins. It's not too bad since the cheapest haste capable flying mount costs 5 dollars, so it's equally cheap in in-game coins.

this is juts something you misunderstood. the bar only shows up when you accelerate(this means
    hasted). you can accelerate by:
    step 1: press e
step 2: click on the icon where you can see a naked man with some jetstream.
when you accelerate you will loose 1 duration point per sec. at 0 you cant use accelerate. meaning only normal flight. the acceleration meter can be recharged by dragin chi stones over you aerogear.

the hasted speed is the same as accelerate.
wind widgets are used to increase your aerogears max speed by 0.5.
i think you can upgrade it 3 times not sure...

You can haste with the gear you get from quests all three of them imo though Elf natural wings maxed with beat any of these or at lvl5.
Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.
