    1 gold = 1 dollar real life cash
    or, depending on your server, about 120,000 coin
    100 silver = 1 gold

    You use shards in your gear. If your gear has sockets you can put it in the sockets.

    Also to add you go to a tailor or a blacksmith and 'Imbue soulgem' option to place the shard into the piece of equipment

    Another addition is the all shards have levels as does armour

    You can only put shards in equal to or below the level of equipment

    Like the level 50 equipment is level 7 EQ meaning you can put a level 7 shard in or level 5, but not a level 8 or greater
