Does anyone know if I transfer my level 35 genie from my level 42 Archer to my level 71 Cleric if I would lose less levels by just transferring it or by decomposing it to an exp cube?

You don't lose genie levels if you transfer it to a different character, as long as the genie itself remains intact. Your level 35 genie will stay level 35 until you infuse exp/sp regardless of if its on your archer or cleric.

You may lose some levels by decomposing it and then transfering it, however.

    I think I answered your question...at least, i hope i did ><

A level 10 genie with 8740 exp decomposes into a 1000 point exp cube. Multiply that by the inefficiency of exp transfer from the cube to a new genie and it'll be enough to make a level 3 genie. I'm not sure about the exp conversion rate at higher genie levels, but 9:1 is pretty pathetic.
