so, i was doing my level 53 challenge quest, had to kill 3 different mobs, 15 times, and the mobs are next to some mini bosses.
I was questing there when i saw a cleric standing still, and the mobs move off course and start hitting her and being a cleric she has a low hp pool, so me being me, i decided to help, and took her aggro and started aoeing to prevent my charm from ticking, she then starting talking...'stop ksing!!' so i said i wasnt ksing, i was protecting you, she goes 'no you werent, im going to report you!'
WTF people, i was being nice and she starts flaming me? i just ignored her and carried on with my quest, then to realise that she followed me to silver pool and started shouting there that i was a kser and told everyone bullcrap like that which did infact **** me off...my mate then needed help with florafang, so i decided to help, and i was on course to killing it with a few mates, then to see her bring her mates (higher level than us) and starting stealing the kill!
So i ask you...what is it with people and judging everyone as 'ksers'?? '(-_-)'

i dont have those problems anymore when i get my kill misions there are to many mobs to ks lol and if some1 bull craps i just blacklist em

i saw some cleric killing one of the bosses in swamps the other day, he seemd to be having a ahrd tiem so me and my friend started to dd aswell and squaded him, no complaints ^^ he was greatfull for the help

alot of PW in general seem to be realy ****, u help them and they think ur ks'ing them which is incredibly sad, thats also the problem sometimes on PvE servers, u get cocky noobs that run there mouth and KS u and u cant just simply kill there cowadly ****, u just gota sit there and take it.

yes, the community in general has it in their heads for their first 70 levels that everything is too hard, and they want everyone to do everything for them. hen after that, they think everyone who tries to help them is a noob trying to steal from them or out to get them. its rather ridiculous

Lol the fact that she followed you harrassing you like that is crazy too. I would have screen shotted her and sent a ticket to the gms. I mean you left the area and she continued to follow you.

Met a guy that had this situation in Heavens Tear too. He was killing mobs in the area when one of the veno's was killing mobs too. They target the same mob sometimes but he'd kill it first. All the sudden she starts cursing him out saying some really bad stuff. So he responds back really pissed off too Then next thing you know she's in world chat lying to everyone that he's a pedofile and she's going to report him to the gm's pretending to be the players parent. When I asked her how old the daughter was she said 21. Was lik wtf..... Then i asked her some more questions about what happened and got more bs responses like that. So I asked the poor guy, and he told me what had happened. I told him to screen shot everything and send it in. She even got her guild to keep ksing the poor guy.

I hate that factions support these kind of people. Even when they are wrong it show how much of an **** that faction is too. Same faction cry over every little injustice when they're getting their asses handed to them. You are right though people do this **** on pve server cause they know you can't flip on pk and just kill them to shut them up. However this is what happens when you play with really young players like 12-14 year olds. Not all some are really bad at starting drama.

Alot of higher level characters (well, I will speak for myself at least) ... I won't attack a mob a lower level seems to be having problems on but I will heal the player instead ... That's usually gets a "Thanks" which is kind of nice, it came make or break someones' day on how they are helped and how they perceive that help.

I was helped many times at lower levels via healing and being buffed while engaging a mob so I consider what I do as a "Paying It Forward" type of deal. Hopefully, the ones I've helped will do the same when they come across lower level characters who are struggling.

dont ask, but my friend is zhenning in PK mode. i see their barb is not luring very well and decide to help out some :P all of a sudden this barb comes out of nowhere dragging mobs out of the AOE and talking trash, saying this was -his- leveling spot, and tries to kill my friend, an archer. the barrage kills him lol. so the trash talking idiot LIES to the biggest guild on the server, tells them we're talking trash and starting ****, and gets drama whores who left #2 biggest faction, to #1 to go and crash it. yeah, and then they have the gall to call -me- a trash talker who doesnt belong in their faction, for calling him out on supporting, and going as far as protecting this lying SOB barb from getting PKed back.

it really disgusts me when a faction allows their members to behave like animals on the server and shrug it off when people complain about it.

cube PKers, KSing territorial hogs who think mobs belong to them, this story above, veno bots in ancient heavens tear! its lovely!

Agreed. If they've bitten off more than they can chew, well that's a shame. I won't just jump in and help since there is always a lack of appreciation for it. Now if they request a hand, then that's different.

You know, we have the solution, right? Being Venos, it's really simply a matter of jumping in the closest level FB we can find, and grind there. That's what I do when some idiots hog my normal grinding spot. I gather up anyone who wants to come with me, and together we go plow through an FB. I tank, they DD, we gain buku EXP, and then we LOL.

I usually only help much lower-levels. For example, I'll use Roar on the Darkbreed Wolfkins in front of Untamed FB19 and draw all of them to me, without doing any damage to them, so that the level 19s can beat them up safely.

But it seems like the higher level somebody is, the more likely they'll turn out to be a jerk I shouldn't have helped in the first place. b:sad

That actually happened again today while playing my alt (a lvl 53 Wizard). I was killing a mob, and player my same level or so jumped in and attacked it while I was AoE'g it.

Then it's MY fault?

I tell them to do go and get their main, while I graciously wait... and I'll check in with them few minutes or so, just to see if they are coming. Most won't, but some have real inferiority complexes which spur them to act as if they had something to prove.

When they do come, I let them kill me so they go red.

But the trick is, in the meantime I'll bring my main (lvl 8x) to the spot, log out, and wait with the other "doomed" character.

Imagine their surprise when I come out of nowhere, all of a sudden, and kick seven shades of **** out of them, and get their mount... as it happened today

Lol that happened to me today, some guy got pissed, said i ksed him when we attacked at the same time. I just healed and buffed him and he let it go, lol. Dont wanna start trouble already.

I generally only cast my buff on people. Besides that if they do not ask for help I do not give them any. If they die, too bad, lesson learned. If they are all about killing a boss I want to take out I will let them have at it alone and then when they die or succeed it is my turn and if they still mess with it I will KS it out from under them (though not really KS seems how it is MY turn to kill it). If they whine about it I will ignore them.

The red bolded part is one reason I don't bother with PvP servers...too many childish idiots running around trying to prove something. Not saying they don't exist on PvE servers, they do, it's just easier to blacklist them.

I wouldn't necessarily say never argue with someone less intelligent than you are, only those that have never heard of the term "logic." It's impossible to beat them because any arguments that you make are completely ignored/lost in their wall of whining.

Back on topic though. Stuff like that happens to me all the time. I'm a veno so the only buff that I have (that I know of anyway) is the bramble guard. Not much use to a squishy that aggroed too much and is at less than 25% hp, so instead I'll pull aggro from a couple of the mobs attacking him and he'll get pissed at me for KSing him. b:sweat

Yeah, people are idiots. Unfortunately, a lot of them use the anonymity of MMOs to be jerks and basically (try to) make everyone else miserable. It sucks for those of us who just want to play the game, have fun, and help out whenever we can but there's not much we can do other than blacklist them or report them (or you can do a WC, but that's too much like something they would do).

Ive had a few experiences such as what the op has mentioned. I'll be out and about grinding and doing quests, helping friends. And on occasion get called a ks'er for stupid reasons. Either its protecting someone who left their character in a warzone while going to work, or simply shooting a mob that someone else targeted after me. i saw in another post where someone mentioned and I will just say that I guess some people think just because they run for the mob first or see it first that they are entitled to it. Nobody owns mobs for themselves. Half the time I dont see the archer or cleric behind me targetting the same mob that i am. If I do then i retract the pet and appologize to that person and explain that im not trying to kill steal anyone. Some people though get so big headed or to pissed off over a game though and have to be a jerk about things. I'll say im sorry 1 time. If they follow me afterwards trying to ks me...I dont blacklist them. I challenge them to a duel without the pet. 99.9% of the time I win due to the person being a much lower level than me to start with. Some people have nerve to ask me if they can fight with the pet. Im nice enough to explain to them that they dont wanna do that. But they insist usually. So out comes the pet and down goes their hp in 1 hit. So as the op says in the title of this thread...What is it with people nowadays?..lol
