Are archers needed

I was gonna make an archer 'cos i think they're kinda cool. I like the way the can own mobs wthout much effort, but the problem is that i think that they are too common and may not be wanted for parties, fbs etc. So i just wanted to hear your experiences with archers and getting into parties. Also archers male archers look kinda... you know b:sad which is another downside

    they have to solo quite often, but they are the most damaging melee class in game.
    they have amazing skills to debilitate enemies such as a 10% max hp debuff, a position locking one, stuns, etc. They can AOE level with parties with an extremely powerful skill called Barrage of Arrows. Sage archers get a powerful 500% damage increase on their skill take aim, which makes it hurt like FREAK. Demon archer's spark is amazing with its attack speed boost, and weapon dmg, and their blazing arrow adds 70% fire dmg to that attack, which is their best skill id think. if theyre not careful, they steal aggro.

    theyre needed for zhen AOE leveling, rebirth order gamma, and lots of stuff. dont let the first 50-60 levels bum you out, theyre kind of slow and painful, but after you notice you have a kick **** char.

    also their gears are SO freaking cheap.

    Melee is when you smack something on the head with a sword, archers are a ranged attack class, they use physical damage, not melee

    we are not needed in partys and FBs like for example clerics or barbs so you will (*looks at lvl* or maybe not >.>) notice a decrease in your popularity.
    however we tend to come in because we make the mob killing go faster.
    we are good in both PvP and PvE but tend to use more money than we like tob:surrender

    I find it funny that the main reason archers are needed is for zhen, which is based around a glitch.

    I can solo a lot of monsters, I'm an archer and yet I can solo Suzerix, Adalwolf Elder with only cleric buffs :P

    Poor Mosz, gets used in every **** male archer dicussion. Anyway, Sharptooth Arrow is one of the main reasons to have an archer in the party. -16% HP for a boss in TT is a lifesaver.

    good archers can tank upto FB69's first boss with a cleric

    When people say solo and tank, do they mean with or without a charm?

    Tank means you can handle it, it's like the argument of if a veno can tank a pet with or without a pet :)
