Are Bowbarians just a joke or what? I saw a post a while ago on how to make a bowbarian and thought it was just a joke, but ive seen some people saying like
"if they're ever in trouble they'll bring in the bowbarians and mages". So are bowbarians a joke or are they actually good?

    not really... a barbs base hp is still way higher then any other class, plus you still have the self buffs you can lvl

    so that also goes for dmg, dex rules ranged dmg, so your base damage and crit will be more or less the same as archer, except you can buff yourself with strength of the titans.

    you cant use any attk skills though yeah, thats a disadvantage lol

    that being said, i have no clue how it would actually play... b:laugh

    Im pretty sure that the Bowbarains class was thought up by a REALLY bored person. I dont think that anyone has actually went through with it though. Its just a build u hop on wen ur bored. At least i HOPE that no one has been serois with this build.
    Taking the beatings and putting up with the repairs so you don't have to. Hey, its a hard job, but someone's gotta do it.....b:surrender

    You cant go tiger and you cant use any attack skills. But you have way more HP with buff, 30% phy attack boost (which will help damage), and a barb gets more evasion and acc per point of dex than an archer. Since a lot of archer damage comes from crits I dont think it would be so bad. I tried one until level 20 or so, was real fun, killed mobs before they even got to hit me, and even when the odd one did it just kept missing. b:chuckle

    A barb gets more evasion and acc. per dex than archer?????????????????b:shocked Is that wat u said????? how??..i though archers were the kings of evasion and acc.??

    I believe Archers get 6 evasion and 8 accuracy for each point of dexterity. I believe Barbarians get 8 evasion and 8 accuracy for each point of dexterity. (I believe Blademasters get 10 of each.)

    But I do not thing Strength of the Titans increases your physical attack? I belive your bonus damage gets added onto your physical attack damage but they are get calculated separately.

    So... you would have higher evasion than an archer with your stats (but archers get an evasion buff, so ideally you would form a squad with anarcher friend?) Also, you would only have 20m range, and you would be doing slightly less damage than an archer.

    Most high level archers avoid using skills for most combats because they do not have enough mana, but they do use some to keep their enemies from getting too close. Bows do only half damage when they get too close...

    bowbarians are the most OP class in pwi. at level 92 you get demon beastial onslaught (+35%!) and can outcrit any archer out there. and its really easy to level in your 8x's because at fish you can outswim all the other DD classes and KS them

    It's an extremely rare book, and it increases your crit by (your current crit) * 0.35. It's not a solid 35% increase.

    And bowbariarns might work if you demon spark...Just think, 500% extra weapon damage, 25% faster channeling. b:laugh

    lol beefums from Lost City is a bow barb. I saw him with wearing heavy armor, bow, and saw him take on like 3 other guys his lv. (beefums is an 8x)

    You sure about that Arravis? Makes it seem kinda like a mute point if that were the case. So your crit rate goes from 10% to 13%.....pfft and I thought demons were supposed to be OP. b:laugh

    Bowbarian is win imo.

    I can triple spark and shoot 6 and 7x archers for 1k-1.2 a shot

    plenty to kill them 1v1 haha.

    Well, I decided this was worth checking out, and google'd this guide for bowbarians. This was the one I decided to use. Results follow in huge picture below, but first a couple of notes... the buffs used are just the classes' own, so barb only has barb buffs and archer only has archer buffs. They've both got no gear other than their weapons, which are exactly the same with the same ammo. I tried to keep it fair.. don't comment on the level difference, I didn't want to grind another level.

    And I just realised that the archer buff hasn't worked properly, but it makes very little difference anyway.
    Yes, I have too much time.

    Edit: I might restat to heavy tomorrow, to see what change that makes.

    man that is wack archer should be geting the most acc and eva from there points we are archers so we should have the best acc and eva of any class dang pwi b:angryb:angryb:angry

    i guess you actually save more money with bow barbarian....
    u wont need to keep buying skills
    you will only need teh buffs, true form, poison fang, and spark i guess...

    Arrow usage is considerably higher than with archers, and if you're doing the mag/dex build you won't be able to use the most recent bow until a couple of levels after it becomes available. Until you get to 80, where the NPC gear runs out and you gotta get special stuff. I didn't bother with that, though.

    Can anyone with experience tell me if a Bowbarian is really a decent contender for PK on a PvP server? Not just at high levels but starting at lvl 30. And... if it makes any difference I do intend to PK at 3X and would like to have a decent chance at winning, b:victory

    I prefer a ranged class but am reconsidering continuing to level my archer in favor of a Bowbarian.

    XD I love how much interest Bowbarian is getting, serious and otherwise. A lot of people are really delving into this...

    I don't play a true Bowbarian - the 4 dex per level just totally turns me off. I play a high dex Heavy Barb instead, though I've been slacking off on my Dex lately in favor of Str/Vit since I just hit 3x.

    A true Bowbarb would be 4 Dex 1 Str per level. I'm doing more like 2.5 Str, 2 Dex, 1 vit every level. This gives me greater accuracy and more evasion, while keeping my power and health rather typical of a barb. I can equip current-level HA armor, and come close to getting Weapons at-level. (Once I reach my Dex cap I'll have no problem doing that.) I also crit a lot and rarely miss <3

    When it comes to PvE, I do wonderfully. I can tank bosses with a few pots and my trusty genie's Tree of Protection. But when it comes to PvP, the simple fact is that the people actively PKing are 30-40 levels above me. Which makes me a 1-shot to a 7x Wizard (got me 3 different times for about 2.5k each) and a 3, 6, or 8 shot to a 7x Archer - one-shot if they crit (which was 2.5 - 3.3k) . The 3-shot times tended to finish up with a crit. I felt like a pincushion on Sunday during the Wraith event, lemme tell you.

    And it would be worse for a True Bowbarian - they'd have even less HP than me because my vit's fairly decent. So early game, nuh uh. Great for PvE but I'm going to have to say it won't work well for PvP because your HP bar just won't stand up to the high-level's hits. Now, you'd probably pwn some people through PK at your own level... but that's just not the way PvP tends to work.

    um, it's not like archers get great hp either...but a pure dex archer can get something like 6k hp unbuffed with decently refined TT90 gear.

    just think about how much a bowbarb would get, with his greater hp/vit (which TT90 green gives plenty of), greater hp/lvl, stuff like that...

    and if you're getting 1 shot by higher lvl wizards as a barb, archers your level wouldn't fare much better.... at the very least, bowbarbs have higher hp than archers...in fact, i bet if a bowbarb goes vit build (3 dex 1 vit 1 str) they'd be unkillable!

    Also, since Bowbarians focus only on the buffs, that means extra spirit = able to focus upgrade Genie = Genie Attack Skills?
