I've been playing for a while and I'm just wondering, is this game meant more for PvP than PvE?

When I try to look for guides to help me out with my class, about 80% of the time it's a PvP guide so I just skip over those since I rather do PvP once I understand the game better.

Hm..
someone on the forums said this game is a lot more focused on PvP near end-game, and I do enjoy PvP.. XD; I just don't do it until I'm less fail and understand everything.

Tbh it depends on the server, I think ANY game just about w/ PvP has more to do on a pvp server. As you pvp (If you go to a pvp server>_>) you will learn your character and develop your own skill. So that's nothing to worry about, just work at it and pvp alot ^^.
And watch out for some noob named Zoe, he fails a pvp bigtime.b:victoryb:bye

    Good luck~

Yeah always depends on server.. :3 but is there anything different for a PvE server? Hence I'm playing on Sanctuary and Heaven's Tear.

The only difference between the two servers is less to do. Less options. More babies. Etc..

PvE servers give you the option of PvP, where PvP servers kinda...don't. After level 30 on Sanctuary, it's your choice to PvP, compared to Lost City and Harshlands, where they have no choice but to go white-named the second they hit level 30.

I've played on PvP servers before (in malay, there was no option for PvE), and honestly, it had a lot more.....serious drama on it. I prefer the PvE servers - nicer people, not as many 12 year old "I PvP god, u n00b"s around, and drama is amusing when it comes up.

That being said, yes, I believe Perfect World was originally designed to be PvP-oriented. Most guides are PvP geared for the following reasons: those who wrote them, and many players, do wish to join Territory Wars; most higher levels do focus a bit on PvP; and every server has PvP content, regardless - so that particular demographic is the majority.

However, since you do play on a PvE server, you do have options - and if you choose to remain a PvE player, you don't have to worry about someone killing you for your stuff, KOS lists, kill counts, and random PK from someone 30-50 levels higher than you. If you chose to go PvP, you enter into at your own will.

Hope this helps a little :)

Better said than I could've done. hehe I didnt mean to say there was nothing to do on PvE in comparison.

Oh stop being such an idiot just because I called you out on your inability to pvp worth anything.

If the game was pvp based there would be no monsters to kill and players would level by killing each other so clearly the game is not based on pvp. Nearly the entire game is pve.

come to LC kadeshi the only fun atm is about when CQ own the last bit of lands >< but its gonna gte betterb:chuckle

anyway for PvE try to use as few skills as possible and do abit kiting till you get your character better to know.
the simplest/most effective/mot common PvE archer tactic right now is frost arrow->normal->normal->knockback->normal till death

Your **** isn't even on a pvp server, you think pk = duels, there's no rules in pk, and you seem to lack understanding of this. You fail far worse than most other noobs I have seen in regards to pvp. Don't even get me started on this you dumb bit.hb:kissb:bye

If you were on a real server(pvp-wise) then you would be one of those annoying kids whining on WC "Ph noe you pk me, you have no skill cause i wasn't prepared and ready to fight back with full spark and you have a pet and thats fail cause your a veno" I can't even remember half the bs you had on your "How to fail at pvp" LMAO

    Pathetic.
I was keeping it civil, and was merely making a point, I'm not fond of PvE servers myself, so it was best that someone from a PvE server would say something for that. Grow up kid.

By the way it feels that way (More PvE) because your on a PvE server, with crappy pvp and most don't even really know the true deal. It's two different worlds.

Actually they'd try to pk me all day but they'd never win. I'd just laugh at their inability to kill someone even when they try to gank them after I kill them. Then drop a sadness card on them and leave. :p

In the TW's I've been in recently I do bad on purpose and skill rack up lots of kills while barely dying. In the last one they actually managed to kill my phoenix so I went foxform and started debuffing the hell out of everyone, who needs a pet?

In short, if you come to this game for the pvp, best to find another the players aren't good enough.

Nearly every game uses PvE for players to level their characters to the point where the player candecide when he/she is ready for PvP.

Personally, I like the combination of both which is why I picked a PvE server.
