Axe or Pole BM?

All right, so I just started a BM. and happend to notice that the TT and FB wepons go all over the place. I wanted to do a axe/hammer only BM, then remembered the FB 19 wepon is a Pole. which I will be using all the way up to lvl 30 or so. After I get the wepon spicific abilitys.
What do I do? Go for axe/hammer only, or change to Pole?

    most will probably say go axes but i say go with poleblade. one less aoe and much higher range. pole doesn't have the spike dmg that axes do but we also have much higher accuracy then axe users usually have. aoe grinding is a little different with pole because we have to "herd" the mobs into a group to successfully aoe them with our linear aoe's. with a little practice it's not hard at all. and the stacked bleeds rock when you need to hold agro from an idiot DD, doesn't always work but it sure helps.

    until around 75+ then suggest you switch to axes.
    There is one bug for spear but i am not sure if it's because of lag or not.
    ( its not an advantage bug )

    not a bug, because the TT spears (not the clubs though) have a 5 m range, which is the min range fro magic atks

    im really curious what you think is bugged, i've been using poleblades since i started and haven't noticed any bug

    use the 3str/1vit/1dex build makes you able to use poles AND axes. thats pretty cool.

    best to just pick one and stick with it until you max out all your skills. taking 2 or more weapon types takes away from your skills. you will have more of them but they won't be as powerful. if you don't die a lot and lose the xp then you really don't have enough sp to get all your skills maxed until late in the game. and with genies now its even harder, i've been at 85 for almost 2 weeks now so i can catch my genie up to my level.

    i actually have both spear and axe ( was pure spear but spliced to axe)

    honestly i like spear for pvp more, just no beserk spear until lvl 90 (through weeks of farming TT).

    axe wins at aoe grind, spear is better at pvp either not considering beserk as an option, or having a beserk spear.

    From my experience Pole/Axe would be a good combo. I mean just get Drake's Bash from the Axe path then just go all out Pole. Cuase you can stun lock and do a combo of slow downs and leaps and ranged attacks with bleeds. (For dueling I mean)

    But for like AOE grinding....well.....I really don't know man. I mean from my experience AOE grinding takes alot of resources like pots and charms. I think it takes less money and resources to just take monsters on one at a time cause it just takes to much to AOE grind them. But I'm only lvl 58 so i dont know if AOE grinding becomes easier but I know that from 1-50 it takes a good amount of pots and healing skills (assuming that you have average gear).

    Use them both. The higher dex at lower levels helps your axes be more effective, and once you reach a level that allows both to be used to their fullest you will find situations that both will shine.
