how do u use a tame book

hi..just bout a tame book 2 upgrade my pet skill but im anoob 2 this game dont know what 2 do with the book if anybout know how 2 use plz let me know....ty

    You upgrade skills at Mrs. Zoologist (learn pet skills option). To learn each skill lvl, there is a lvl requirment on your pet as well which looks like this

    2 @ 20
    3 @ 40
    4 @ 60
    5 @ 80

    Mean if you have a skill that u want to upgrade to lvl 2, ur pet has to be lvl 20, and so on...

    But the Book does nothing once you have it. I just bought two of them to up my Walker's Roar from Lv2 to Lv4 (got tired of him losing agro when I get too nuke happy). He's 62, so the level argument wont work against wanting a Lv4 Roar.

    I've right clicked them, left clicked them, dragged them into this box at that NPC, and dragged then into that box at this NPC. They just sit there. The question was *How do you use them, and no one has answered it.

    You want to upgrade a pet skill..

    Step 1 Go To Zoologist and Buy a Tame Book (or Books for multiple levels)
    Step 2 Ensure Pet that you wish to upgrade is Summoned
    Step 3 Choose Learn Pet skill option from Zoologist
    Step 4 When Skill window pops up click on the skill icon you wish to upgrade

    note your pet needs to be of requisite level and you need to have spirit available to upgrade its skills.

    Step 5 Repeat as Necessary from step 1 or step 4 b:surrender

    Hey, having followed the 1-4 step guide, i still cant use the book, nor see the upgrades to my pet skills... i have a melancholic scorpian level 35... i either want to upgrade his level 2 bash... or his level 3 toxic mist.... (which seemingly he needs to be level 40 to do that one).

    Either way, upon going to Mrs Zoologist like i did last time with my Glacial Walker, nothin appears and the book remains useless in my inventory...

    My spirit level is low, however i thought it still shows you the skills you can get but wont let you get them until your spirit is higher (just like when upgrading Veno skills etc)

    I also tried it on my Glacial Walker but again nothing happened. Still says "Current item cannot be used" if i right click the book from my inventory, and nothing shows when i took him to the Zoologist

    Mrs Zoologist

    To use a pet collar to name a pet - have the collar in your inventory, and the pet STOWED. Drag the pet into the box she gives you, put in a name and confirm. (The button will be greyed out until you type in a name - no nameless pets allowed)

    To FORGET a skill
    Have a 'forget scroll' in your inventory.
    Have your pet standing next to you.
    Choose "Forget pet skill"
    Choose the skill you want to lose.
    Confirm.

    To add, or level up a skill
    Have the skill scroll you wish to use in your inventory. (Or the 'tame pet' skill if you want to increase the level of an existing skill)
    Have your pet standing next to you.
    Choose "Teach your pet skills"
    Choose the skill you want to add to that pet.
    Confirm.

    Levelling up skills Costs 5k spirit per level. (So 5k to go to level1, 10k to go to level2 etc.) And requires a minimum level - 1, 20, 40, 60, 80. (Except pounce and some of the other rare skills which only have two levels)


    If you do something wrong when at the zoologist, she TELLS you what you need to do. It's not hard!
