Manufacturing leveling problems

Hi Im currently rolled a new character so I could level my maufacturing skills. But in order to level up my level 1 skills I need this Item called red jade to make blacksmith weapons and tailor clothes level 2. The problem is I evel too fast and red jade drops from low level mobs (around level 6). So how did you guys level your manufacturing skills?
