Pulling Jewels to the Ground? GM response welcome!

So...a veno within my faction told us that someone had told her that it was possible to do Jewelscalen with a herc.

Apparently, all she has to do is hit it, then drop to the ground, and summon her herc. According to her information, she should be able to "lure" Jewel to the ground and start fighting him with the herc like a normal land boss.

We're wondering if this is actually a legitimate way to fight Jewel, or if it's considered a "glitch" Neither she nor anyone else in faction wants to risk trying until we're sure it's legal...

GM response please?

    Even if it is, I don't know, how would you get rid of Jewels debuff?

    As long as Jewel is still capable of hitting the herc, and the mob you are killing doesn't become bugged in any way, it is a legitimate method for killing that boss.

    lol that's a normal method to kill jewel. It's no different than any other boss. If you can't get a barb/cleric or don't wanna tick charm or whatever, use a herc. =/

    My herc did it at 65 with me + 1 veno + cleric. We had a barb lure it to the ground though.

    He only hits 3500 at the top of his damage range, before Pdef. Even with the debuff he can't one-shot a high level herc, and that's all it takes.

    This was actually the first time either of us have heard of it, so I figured I should check :) Nice to know ^^
