TT90xbow or TT80 GoldBow

Hello all. Well, I'm in my Mid 80s right now and I was wondering whether I should pick TT90xbow or TT80 Goldbow. Personally, I like bows, besides doesn't a bow deliver higher DPs than a xbow, So with the -0.1 Interval, wouldn't the TT80 Goldbow > TT90xbows ? Though I'm aware that the xbow does have a higher Damge. I'm in a Serious Dilema... Am I left with choosing the TT90xbow as my ultimate Lv 90 Wpn or would I be able to compensate for the loss of damage of my TT80 Goldbow by refining it to +5 or higher ? Pls help b:surrender

    welli guess you would be fine with 80 gold bow,
    but if you want pvp, 90xbow is what you want. And really, 90xbow refined, is many archer's endgame weapon.

    As I have heard it:

    Damage per shot: slingshot<bow<xbow
    Rate of fire: xbow<bow<slingshot
    DPS on regular attacks: xbow=bow=slingshot

    Not so sure about that last one. For PVP, skills are the attacks of choice, and skills always use their own timing, not the weapon's, so the xbow's higher attack comes at no cost.

    reason archers choose xbow over a bow is because xbows have the highest spike dmg and thats what archers need to be useful in pvp

    The DPS part really depends on the weapon add-on.
    For example. If same grade bow vs xbow, the bow have a higher DPS.
    But bows like TT90 Bow Dragonbow compared to TT90 Xbow Binding Radiance. The bow adds no phy attack bonus but the xbow adds 100 phy attack. So in this case the DPS of the Xbow is actually higher than the bow. But if you compared the Xbow to the TT90 Gold Slingshot, which also adds 100 phy attack, the DPS of the sling shot is higher. So my point is, if 3 plain weaps DPS- Sling>Bow>Xbow.
    But the reason Xbow are perfered for PVP is because skills do not require rate of fire, for example regular shots will not be used against a heavy armor or cleric with plume shell on. Also Spike Damage is also important in PVP and don't forget one of the best tw skills "Barrage of Arrows" is often used to enclose large groups of opponents, this has nothing to do with rate of fire so there for a xbow will do much more damage.
    ^^ depends on your style really, I am a crazy appearance nut therefore I would never use a slingshot...
