Distributing Genie attributes

I'm a lvl 20 archer and goin with a pure build of 1 str 4 dex. So first off my question is whether I shud keep my current Genie, Discipline (white) as most posts say that archers shud get Longevity (green) or does it really mattter. Also, if I keep my current genie how shud I distribute the attribute points?

1) Does str attribute in a Genie affect only offensive skills or healing skills aswell.
2) Does dex points of a Genie only affect stuns,freeze, etc. or does it affect healing skills.

    str only effects dammage dealing skills if there isnt written something else.

    Generally speaking, Str impacts attack skills (1 str=+1% dmg) and Dex impacts buffs (usually in 10-40 dex=1% or 1 sec). For details, look at individual skills.

    as stated above, dex increses buff time,and STR increases attack. my personaly preference is dex genie. but i do plan to get a str the genie as well to swich between them when ever i feel like.


    lets face itthe only real worth while skills that attack are only for high levels. now dex build have buffs that can be VERY helpful to beginners like the skill that increses your attack speed for 8 seconds.

    It really does not matter what color genie you get. PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN THAT!! It is how you BUILD the genie.

    Very true! Most barbs say go with the pink genie. I'm very happy with my longevity (green) It has all the stats and skills I need.

    well yes and no, skill wise sure, but statwise it somewhat matters, choosing the right genie for your intended stats give you about a up to 34 point stat bonus depending on build
