What Is A Private Server?

I was going through the Screenshots and Videos Forum and I read that some people have access to Private Servers on the game. What or how does one get on a private server? I am very curious about this. Also what does private servers have to offer that public servers do not.

Also if this is against forum rules. I apologize.

    it is a server ran by individuals from their home, using stolen game code and files, essentially emulating PWI. theyre copyright violation and theft, and are illegal. if you find one, report it to PWE so proper legal action can be taken, and dont be caught dead playing one.

    b:laugh thanks Tear, and no I would not join a private server. I already have three character on Sanc and think a fourth would be too much to handle. Plus there is the whole new character and leveling up and blah blah blah. Thanks for the tip on what private servers do.

    they also usually give like a couple hundred times the normal exp, spirit, and coin/item drop rate. so you totally miss out on what makes the game fun, you dont get to do your cults/FBs at the right time, and its just plain stupid.

    Just to point out, many ppl use also this servers to test builds, since you can get high lvl pretty easily. But as said before they are not legal, and considering this is a f2p theres no sense in playing in one. Well, if it was p2p and you can afford it to play it, you shouldnt, but now we fall into the "pirate" thingie which is rather complicated.

    build testing doesnt justify commiting illegal acts, is like saying its ok to sexually assault a woman because you wanted to test what copulation was like :P. its bad!

    LOL, youre right, Im not saying the opposite, but well, with all the p2p sites around, its kinda hard to decide or to behave right. Its a pretty confusing matter actually

    They are legal if the company grants them to be I doubt that PWI has done that.They don't run as good though.

    psh its more like stealing a womens dna and then cloning her to test!

    private servers are for ppl who dunno how to play and want max lvl in few days
    like bots in offical servers ^^

    Private server=can't deal with normal game.

    private server=female. never met one.

    Private server to learn builds? sure go on MR expert, you pawn.


    Join a PS if you can't handle a regular game.
