Character Creation: Jittery Models

I don't know if this is a glitch or not, but when I went to create a character, the character models are all... jittery? Jumpy? They look like they're shifting around and posing and stuff, and at a high, really high rate of speed. Like a robot ODing on crack.

Is it a glitch, or is it normal? If it's a problem, how should I fix it (or is it really that big of a deal)?
