Can you simply explain what a genie is?

I've seen the FAQ but it didn't have the answer I'm looking for. What IS a genie. What does it DO?

    get one? >_> try get it, and try touch it, and try test and lvl it. That might help. Just dont molest it.

    A Genie is like a small little pet...sort of thing. It has skills that are more for support rather than anything else. It's used as a fighting kind of thing to aid you in battle. It can be built offensive by leveling up Str/Dex for more powerful skills, or defensive/support by leveling up Dex/Mag. o.o
