Anyone ever calculated the cost to refine a weapon to +10? If you could refine a weapon to +10, which class would you pick to use that weapon and PK with?

the ones with the hgihest chance of getting +12 without using money is people with 2-3 comp running constantly at the same time. if i had an extra comp just sitting there as catshop everyday i know i could be making at least 2-3mil per week extra just by sitting there catshopping. and well, if i had 3 comps... i might be able to get up to 5mil extra profit/week

I made the money for my swiftshadow (4.2m) in a day. And I still had TT stuff to sell which put me to about 6m. ;o0 -
making 6mil in a day is not hard, get lucky find a mold and theres ur money. of course u can also just sell the stuff u had in ur safe and call that money made for that day. only things u found the day can be considered part of the money u made on that day. i could easily go make 10mil+ in under 1 day just by selling off shards and my bracer.My body is made of swords.

LOL..trying so hard to be right. I am not talking about selling my gear nor selling stuff in my safe. I farmed twilight temple and in a day got ALL NEW DROPS that sold for 6m.0 -
lol, or you can farm DQs and mail them to vend them off on the multiple PCs like mentioned. Thats all a certain arsehat on our server does, is use multplie accounts to catshop junk all day.
Farming TT takes ~2 hours minimum a run alone, which means you must have no life. Some of us have lives. (i dont )0 -

this shows what i tried to say a few weeks ago, that dragon orbs prices are way too high. The should be 1/3 of the price.
No plus 12+ item should litrally cost $2700 dollars in r/l cash(remeber for poeple to earn dragon orbs someone will have to spend r/l cash)
thats over 273million coin per item for +12
personnaly i think thast should be 1/3 of that price

Oh wow. I can do that too. Full squadded TTs, each boss takes maybe a few mins each. We can farm tonnes of TTs in no time, and make a fortune. b:shocked0 -

You don't -always- have to use dragon orbs, you know... If you're insanely lucky, you don't have to use more than 12 mirage stones for armour or 24 for weapons to get +12.
If we say that there's 50% chance a refining will go wrong for each level you refine (or 50% that it'll succeed)... The chart below display the odds of successfully refining to your desired level from a unrefined weapon (or going from any current refinement level to a higher one, really).
+0: 100%
+1: 50%
+2: 25%
+3: 12.5%
+4: 6.25%
+5: 3.125%
+6: 1,563%
+7: 0,781%
+8: 0,391%
+9: 0,195%
+10: 0,098%
+11: 0,049%
+12: 0,025%
Which means that you have about the same chance of a +12 refining as you do to get a Goldenmane Lion Lord from a rainbow egg. And, well... Some people did get Lions from the eggs. b:pleased

thanks Obsessed.. so can the staff see my point? 900 dollars for a +12 item is more resonable that $2700 for a +12 item. Again it stays rare enough that not everoyne will have but more apealing that some peopel will have some day.
Come on PWI staff should atleast try it. If this doesnt atleast make there orb sells x5 i be suprised. The orbs will be bought as much as teles.
Heck even low lvl people would buy orbs up to +3 per every 10 lvls if the costs are low.

It actually decreases as the level of refinement increases. I can't find it anymore, but one of the cash shop items used to have a description saying "increases refining success rate" with a list of what those rates became.
Sadly, I think the rates are a lot like those in your chart... only not to get to that level from +0, but to get to that level from the previous one b:shocked

Frequently, your chances of successfully refining will be far, far lower than 50%.

25% success rate on gear refined to level 1.
10% success rate on gear refined to level 2.
4% success rate on gear refined to level 3.
1.67% success rate on gear refined to level 4.
0.77% success rate on gear refined to level 5.
0.47% success rate on gear refined to level 6.
0.25% success rate on gear refined to level 7.
0.13% success rate on gear refined to level 8.
0.07% success rate on gear refined to level 9.
0.04% success rate on gear refined to level 10.
0.02% success rate on gear refined to level 11.
Basically dragon orbs are always worth their cost, and you pretty much have to use them to have any reasonable chance of success beyond about +2 or +3.0 -
well, u have to remember the luck factor. assuming someone only does duke blacke there is still a small chance of refining to +12 without any dragon orbs by just following blacke's advice.0

wow, well my friend used dragon orbs up to +4 and then for +5 he just chanced it and it worked. so i tried the same and it worked for me, 0.77% chance, i feel so lucky now b:pleasedb:pleased0 -
