Well, i guess the reason why they dont do it is cause no one wants to go and close 23000 threads.
And yes, there are that many threads. Actually, at the time of this writing, there were 23473 threads. Its just way too much work to close 95% of them.
Not to mention that there pops about 10-15 (if not more) new threads per day.0 -
Old threads, in 99% of the cases, just fall into oblivion at the back of the board. It's extremely rare that anyone bumps a topic, and it's often that a moderator steps in and closes the thread for necroposting (unless it's actually something valid that a person had to say, and the discussion otherwise was flowing smoothly).0

The pain will pass, and you will probably live thru it.
Speaking of annoying, making a new thread that whines about old threads is at the top of *my* list.

Plus, if all the threads are closed, and all these new players come on here and ask questions, everyone will probably flame and tell them to use the search function!
so, i think that the old threads are left there purely so that people can find an answer to ANY question without writing it all up again...simple!I Want To Eat Estasi & Send Her Into Extasy!! b:victory

Spot on!
And also, there's the occasional instance when revitalizing an old, dead thread is actually necessary.
Our forum users are very good (98.4% of the time) when it comes to necro-discipline so there's no need for mods/admins to take such a drastic approach of preemptively closing everything. b:victory0
