The recent coin glitch

Brand new player here, I keep hearing people mentioning some glitch (during an event?) that ruined the economy. I was just curious to hear the full story? Have they fixed it yet? Should I bother playing if people are glitching?

    The economy didn't get destroyed, and the problem was fixed a while back.

    that was in february, during valentines >_>; its long gone <_< they fixed it right away.
    our only other major glitch recently was an error where we couldnt search the auction house, and they fixed it too

    I believe with a patch they put in it bugged Fashion Dyes(?) they fixed it almost straight away and I'm pretty sure they banned accounts that abused the bug. They were quick enough with it so it didn't really ruin the economy.

    ah but you shoulda seen the irate flaming... Im gonna quit this game if they dont rollback... I want compensation... QQ...
    Some wanted rollback cuz they saw players exploiting and believed things could never be made right. Others didn't want rollback becuz they had gotten lucky during that time or had completed a difficult quest. Both sides had points but not both could be satisfied. GMs did an excellent job restoring order (in my opinion) and in spite of the whiners and nay sayers the economy did recover.
    The most ridiculous and hilarious crying came from a few conspiracy theorists who thought GMs were orchestrating the auctionhouse to manipulate the gold trading price and get rich themselves.
    In truth this game has few glitches, the economy is fairly run by players supply and demand, updates are stable, and you will encounter few bots. The only real negative is that some of the events are not well thought out but if you don't like it, don't go to them. Oh there's a few minor glitches and you will constantly hear players whine about nix (veno pet) having a glitched skill, but Perfect World is nearly... well... perfect.

    They still should have rolled back the servers imo. Lots of coins were spent were not deleted. Many people maxed their skills with the glitched coins and they were not removed.

    Should also be noted that only a few in-game bugs exist.

    Also can the GMs comment on Cube of Fate Safe zone bug, do people who abuse it(To raise their PK count or just to annoy people) violate the ToS and are therefore punishable?
    Currently flying internet spaceships around dodixie, moving to amarr soon.
