I restarted my computer many times and I have a graphics problems. Players disapear from a distance but when they are close I can see them. This has been happening since early this week and I have done no changes to my computer.

have you checked both distance scroll bars?

There are 3 small icons over your char's health bar.
The second one hides players when they are not close enough, in order to save some CPU time for example. best performance icon (the big icon left of the 3 small ones) automatically sets this option to true.
Wrong manipulation also sometimes does....

Just set it to false, and this will be ok.

I didn't think about best performance >.>
- it's the first button, the second one only turns names on/off

but if you activate best performance the button is colored, in the screenshot it's greyed out...
