Fighting against Magic Resistance Mobs
Well, comparing my cleric and wizard, I feel that my cleric has much more versitality. Heal when **** hits the fan, or plume. And depending on the resistance of the mob, I can use Plume Shot or my Elemental based attack. Now for wizards, how do I deal with those pesky magic resist mobs? I mean grinding in one spot, they will eventually spawn, and you can't just avoid them forever, so any ideas would be nice. Btw my wizard is only 25, cleric is 60. >.<

Truth is unless we're in a squad we don't, or if we have the sparks to spare we can use Blade Tempest, which deals a good bit of damage to mag res, followed by a bit of kiting.
Mob darwinism can be a pain(Avoiding Mag res will eventually leave the area with only mag res mobs, survival of the fittest FTW, take that creationists). You could always wait for a Barb/BM/Archer to kill them, although they always sem to avoid them whenever I watch. >.>Currently flying internet spaceships around dodixie, moving to amarr soon.

I hate Magic resist mobs... I usually have someone come kill them for me.. or move to another spot.. or if I'm really desperate just start my 2398047203947230894320 move combo to take them down and waste a hell of a lot of mp/time or mp/hp.. As an Archer, i will target magic res first... free 2x exp and i'm unaffected on how i had to kill it b:laugh
:P if anything shouldn't you guys also hate increase movement speed? that fiery bird of knockback can't save you forever now can it? Or am i missing something on how you deal with that XD?Navarre was your everyday veno, until she learned her true form. increased speed mobs are fun all u do is gush phoenix gush Fow gush and phoenix if its not dead by then lol never get touched0 -

I usually just suck it up and keep attacking until they're dead. Mage is only level 55, but still. XD

With undine, all magic resist mobs feel like increased life mobs.
Under water, undine makes magic resist mobs feel like they've got only 1.5x extra hp.
In other words, undine > Blade tempest for magic resist mobs :P0 -

If I had the rank 8 weapon, I think i'd sure as hell switch to melee too... the physical damage on that thing is twice the magical damage on my weapon0 -
magic resistance mobs is just hax. not even increased defense are this bad for physical damage dealers.

Well, Magic resistant mobs have x10 magic resistance, whereas increased defence is only x2... I'm guessing makers of Perfect World just dislike mages a whole lot...
We're the only class who struggles with magic resistant mobs... and we have to struggle the most :P
Oh well. Least we can still somewhat level faster than barbs0 -

Just switch to fox form and your melee will take them down fast.

I leave the MagRes alone for now. The other spawns were plentiful enough for what I'm up to.
I've never really understood the Sacrificial Assault ones, though. What do they *do* besides die faster? My husband (BM) told me to watch out for them early on. But they're basically 1shots to my Wiz and never get near me. It's... almost disappointing, I have the next spell lined up to take them out and they've already fallen down. Not complaining, but it really disrupts my routine XD[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Not only in melee. One day You will encounter magical ones. They hit twice harder than normal ones. Harder than those with increased attack or increased magical attack0

i killed sac assault archer mob
it was the taurox sharpshooter
hit me for 300 or something like thatSins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze0 -

they are annoying on my veno too but without a pet to help it is even worse with my wiz.0
