Ok now there are lots of winners being announced here through different events.
How come all I see is people acting like spoiled little brats, complaining they did not win, complaining about how the system works or complaining wrong person won?

If you are one of those people, do you then realise how that just makes YOU look bad?

This is far from a Perfect World with people like this all over the forum.
Instead of bringing people, and the specially the winners, down. Is it so damn hard to just be happy for them?
Try - it wont kill you.
And keep your envy locked inside.

You should all watch a movie tonight. Its called "Bambi" and one of the charachters in that movie says something very wise.
Pls let me quote it for you:

Thumper: He doesn't walk very good, does he?
Mrs. Rabbit: Thumper!
Thumper: Yes, mama?
Mrs. Rabbit: What did your father tell you this morning?
Thumper: [clears throat] If you can't say something nice... don't say nothing at all.

Lol i totally agree with this. When did the world become such whiners about everything. People complain about everything under the sun now a days. But they don't think that the same person who entered their drawing had the same hopes of winning as them. Not everyone was going to win don't cry about it. Get up try again u never know u might win one day. You surely won't if you sit there pouting about who's drawing was better or not. I mean the forum is filled with this complaining. Lol i dont even think it should be called general discussion anymore. It used to be if people lost they congratulated the winner and try again the next event or contest. Events are made to enjoy and have fun. Relax people and be nice to the winners . I say congratulations everyone!

by the way this was my entry to the pw may drawing contest. It didn't win but none the less i was glad i was able to enter it. ^ ^

You know from what I read I thought they wanted something funny or hilarious or plain silly. I see the caption that won and it makes me think "did I mis-read the rules?" There was funnier captions than that one. It seemed like they went with something that was kind of practical but yet a tiny bit funny. Now if they said come up with a "caption" for this that works for this pic then it makes more sense. I apologize to Asterelle. Really congratz. I'm not trying to rain on your parade. Something like this doesn't make me wanna do anymore of the contests if I don't understand on how they're judging things. Congratz again Asterelle! b:victory

Panda!? What contest will be giving that?
    *super excited*

Oh wait, just checked. Once again, we ppl NOT living in America dont stand a chance =)
Too bad, a panda mount would have been something to compete for, but Im swedish so
    that makes me automaticly disqualified.

But I think thats why they thought of the Funny Caption Contest.
Everyone participating has a chance to win, and you dont even have to spend a dime =)

Well, they complain because they lack the will to ACT on issues, as they expect others to take care of them for them. After a while they whine over everything they can get their hands on, and that will most likely be the story of their lives, they complain away while others take action.

and of course that habbit of complaining comes here as well as everywhere else, the chances of them just whining on these forums are about 1 in 3 billion.

I thought it was funny. There is no set rule towards what is funny and what is not funny. It all comes down to the individual, just like morals. No one really thinks about it and generalizes it but the fact is they vary from person to person.

I actually just WAITED for someone to say that, lol.
    Its the typical smartass reply now isnt it? :). Heres how it is;

I always treat people with respect and Im nice towards others in RL
so thats what Im gonna be online as well.

But Im also standing up for what I believe is WRONG and that would be
whiners and people blocking the sun with their dark attitudes.
And if no one ever speaks up about that, they will also never hear what
    effect their behaviour have.

You may complain about me complaining about the complainers, sure,
but you wont see me complaining like a little kid I did not win a competition,
even though I tried as hard as the others Im sure :) I am genuinly happy
    for those who win.

    RAWR

I am so glad I didn't disappoint you and posted the reply you knew you knew you was gonna get.

As for my **** being smart, I dunno I have never had a conversation with my **** and therefore cannot ascertain whether it is smart or not....

I am glad you treat others nicely in RL...I hope they do the same to you back...but idk about online, this is my first encounter of you and you already said I am a 'typical smartass...'

Standing up for what u believe to be wrong is cool! Just be aware not everyone shares your views, heck I knew my reply would get someone provoked b:chuckle

And I never said I wasn't glad for the winners, I was just wondering why you had lowered yourself to the level of 'complainer' something you have yourself professed to abhor...

Ah, I know, its the old adage....if you can't beat 'em....JOIN EM!

Anyways, enjoy being 'nice' in RL and online, I'm off to kill nasty monsters and enjoy my 'RL' as well....

And as per usual the debate start with someone just wanting something
nice to come out from all of this and someone feels the need to pick fights :)
Dont deny it pls, its very obvious you are in this to provoke more or less.

And you dont have to like me the slightest. I am sorry your first impression of
    me was horrible.

And I have not lowered myself to anything, and specially not those people
    I was refering to.

Have a good day, I mean it.

I never said it wasn't funny. I just felt there was funnier captions. By the way they described what they wanted for the pic I felt there was other choices. There was in fact but they decided their choice. Did I feel that I could have won by the way they described what they wanted? Yes I think so. I also felt others could have easily won it over me too! I'm not mad for losing. I just don't understand what they wanted. I don't understand on how they handle some events or gameplay in the game in general. So from now on if I do participate in events, contests, or anything else I'll make sure I know what I'm getting into. I listen to rpgradiostorm.com and I've won 2 contests since the station has been on. They're very clear on what they want the listerners to do for those contests. I won some very kewl stuff donated by the listeners for those contests. Once again I'm not hating.

Because they most likely ARE spoiled little brats, like that one girl in 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory'. They want everything and want it now.

Thanks for the support everyone :)
I'm sorry to all those who felt like theirs was better but ya someone has to win and I'm sure the judges had a hard time deciding between the top 100.

With 5000+ submissions there were probably others that had a similar theme but I didn't spend time reading what every other poster wrote. I wrote mine right after that short 50% off XP scrolls promotion.

    Anyway thanks again :)

I find it all hilarious really.. how much people complain in contests.
Especially when it comes to CHANCE, and art.

All those people who say "This is the last time I'm going to enter one of these because I don't think it's fair. Blahblah." Yet their 'art' is next to ****. They complain when someone more talented wins. It's bull. They're contests for a reason. Obviously not everyone is going to be happy about losing. But you enter anyways knowing full well that tons more people are doing the same and only one or a few will win.

    And with the calender contests..
It's not some preschool crayon fest. Obviously the more talented people will win. Yes, I'm sure they judge it based on many things.. how well they follow the theme, the flow of the work, personal taste.. whatever. But when it comes down to it, some copy and pasted thrown together thing with random photo filters .. going up against a hand-drawn piece, who do you honestly think will win? Sometimes talent means more than how hard you try. Being an artist myself, if I spent 20-40 hours on an entry and still didn't win.. I WOULDN'T COMPLAIN. Why? Because I obviously tried damn hard, and still lost. Which means one of two things.. Either I wasn't good enough, and should try harder, or I just wasn't what they were looking for at the time and should try my luck next time. >_> Yet so many people complain that they tried and aren't going to bother again. In my eyes it's good riddens to them.

    Meh. x3
I was just sick of all those who complained that the hand drawn pieces were favored over the rest.. sometimes it takes more effort to draw then to piece something together.

    /endrant.

Ele don't worry about people who troll. They like to post comments that get people riled up. They find it amusing when people get angry. You didn't stoop down to the complainers level at all. The people who won needed to hear some support. Those that lost and whine needed to see the effect they were having on others. It was good someone mentioned this.

It made me happy to see that there are still some good people out there, who are not scared to stand up for what they believe. Some people just like to rain on another's parade, but don't let them. You should keep letting your sun shine. ^ ^

As for me June contest is up and I'm going to try again. Lol this time imma try to stay on theme.

It's not a matter of "jealousy." It's a matter of seeing those who deserve the winnings go unrewarded.

It's true that there were people who said "My submission was way better than [insert winning submission]," but most people said "In my opinion, there were others who did a better job." Are those who you disagree with not entitled to share their opinions? Honestly -_-

Here's a pretty comic to show how some of us feel when we see others not win, even though we feel they should have:
