I completely agree with nelae, you people should go cry to someone who gives a damn, may this thread, and the threads opener die.

As long as errant buffs continue, that may well be in my future. ;(

It really sucks when you're in a tough situation and running on powders (and max cleric buffs aside from the powders) and then some random lowbie cleric comes by and debuffs you which causes you to either die, run away to avoid death, or get your charm trashed far more than it needed to be.

Yes annoying, annoying as your crying for buffs, crying to be revived crying to be healed.

And embrace the fact that there are kiddos and grown up ppl that have a sadistic pleasure of overwriting your powders and lesser buffs. Nothing you can do about it.

So stop complaining "cleric this...." and "cleric that....", try running anything without us b:chuckle

Instead of complaining about it, why doesnt someone actually say what to look for/ what the reason of why its bad. I for one, a level 50 cleric, have no idea what you people are talking about.

Nor have i had the problem of someone complaining after I buff them.

I only have 1 apoc. and I'm sure im not the only person who doesnt use powders or whatever.

Again, don't whine about something without explaining the problem.

"make sure they don't have Apothecary stuff running" does not tell us what to look for. I don't think I have ever seen an "Apothecary stuff" icon running under their name. Tell us what to look for if it is such a huge problem.

    To name a few:
Life Powder is a level 1 Apoc item that it recovers 50 HP/Sec.
Focus Powder is a level 2 Apoc item that recovers 50 MP/Sec.
Healing Orbs are a level 4 Apoc item that recover 100 HP/Sec.

These all have exactly the same icon under a player's name as Celestial Guardian's Seal (The HP ones having the small red icon, the MP ones having the small blue icon), and as you can see, the basic level 1 item is better than CGS which recovers 10 HP/MP per second.

If you are level 50 and do not use powders, I would highly recommend that you do so, as it can really cut down on charm usage and make grinding much easier.

Thank you for the info :)

EDIT: also, how long do powders last? CGS lasts for 30 minutes (hour for squad form after level 10) but how long do powders last

10 minutes, however the increased strength makes them preferable even though they are shorter duration.

Mystic, please note that he is on LC, he cannot simply turn off pvp mode and fly away after doing something foolish.

Well, thanks for the info, specially Mohkano who gave the "noob info" I needed.
Therefore, I'll change my buffing macro and leave Celestial Guardian Seal alone.

Even the info that the opener brings out it's good for me, who intends to be the best support I can, we all know there are "ways" and "ways" to tell this. Things like "lol get ur $#@%$# buff away from me n00b gtfu stfu lolololol wootwoot" sure will work to solve your problem with Celestial Guardian Shield - as it brings you new problems with Vanguard Shield, Magic Shield, Spirit's Gift and other. If you don't miss any of this, then go ahead and yell at all that noobish Cleric class you see.

I have had the problem with the CGS buff from other clerics at times. I dont ask for buffs ofc, but a good portion of the time its from the other cleric in TT casting exhalted renewal on party which overlaps my mp regen pots. b:angry As a cleric, of course i use regen pots to conserve charm(yeah, mp usage can still be an issue at my lvl). Most of the time though, they just tell me before casting buff so i can move out of aoe range. b:victory I hope other clerics can be considerate of thier party members and give them the buffs they need and not give the buffs they don't need. b:bye

Also, it does depend a bit, if someone is not using apoc powders or anything, then feel free to give them the buff, and it will probably be appreciated.

The purpose of this is to pay attention to your target, which is why I called it "watch what you're casting" rather than "stop buffing me."

The seal is preferable to nothing at all, but there are better things in the game than it and you should be aware of this if you are going to be using it.

Tough words from a class that messes things up more than helps solving. I didn't say dont get rez (although dolls prevent exp loss and scrolls save u a trip back so rez is unnecesary but oh well...) Im only talking cuz i had bad experiences with clerics. Idiots that buffed me once then after re-powdering came back and buffed me again, gimps who go lvl up their buffs and ALL HEALS and leave plume and cyclone low and cant PVE without help and buff me expecting me to do their quest, another genius who kept healing a mage who KS me and i was trying to get him killed so he would leave me alone. All im saying is think before u act because u can do alot of damage. The fact that u have heals and buffs doesnt mean u should go around and use them aimlessly. And if ur free to buff whoever u want, im free to get pi$$ed and kill u...b:bye

If you are rich enough to afford angles and rez scrolls then you certainly dont need to be bi**hing about a 10 min buff being over written.

I accidently overwrite my own one sometimes and yeh its anoying :P.

On my other char I appreciate any random buffers as I generally will not ask. I also dont usually need powders, can just use potions.

I've only really been overridden a couple times by random buffers and I nicely inform them of their mistake, which of most are oblivious to, and appreciate the info. How about u educate rather than being agressive.

Still, I think if I had the choice of 5 cleric buffs over a 10 min powder, I'd probably take the buffs. Scratch that, I would take the buffs. Cleric buffs rock. Take them like the little b you are and apply your powder again.

I havnt bothered to read most of this thread cause im lazy.

When im in a squad im lazy also that means everyone gets my group buffs like it or not.

Instead of bitching at the cleric for buffing you go stand in a corner on your own far far far away so you dont recieve any cleric buffs because im not going to be selective on who gets what.

I can't even count how many powders i lost to clerics with their random buffs on my other chars. And they always give the same dopey answer "don't u wanna get buffed?". I played a cleric too and MINDED MY OWN DAMN BUSINESS! I understand if u rolled a cleric to help your squad mates but why are you random buffing? Don't offer help if ur not asked. Anyway if a cleric uses that DEBUFF on me when im grinding with powders i interpret it as agression (cuz its a debuff in this case) and if he/she isn't a very high lvl ill pk him/her. Mind your own business...b:angry

You need anger-management. I buffed someone in my squad (she already had three buffs on) and accidentally overwrote her buff. After that I always look how many buffs they have, so don't blame all the clerics.b:scorn
