    The extra zoom is going to make playing a lot easier I can say that much. I'll assume (well everyone does at some point) that you have sound yes? Those sounds give you clues as to things happening around you. From the knock knock of the blinky box to the sounds of far or near fighting, to the (so I've been told) soft sighs of the undines closing in behind you.

    OK the zoom has no effect on the knocking sound, but try playing with no sound at all. Extra zoom will mean those of us without (read me) can see more around us and therefore hopefully strategise and react more easily. (Not that I don't do ok anyway).
