Kowlin for PVP?

Okay, so if I wanted to PK in SP for example, would kowlin be my best choice?
I heard it was the best land-pk pet, is that so?

It's fast and has flesh ream to start. Unfortunately, its attack power is rather low. I would recommend finding another fast/high attack pet to teach flesh ream to.

Tearvalerin - Sanctuary

scorpions and even hercs with flesh ream work way better. though kowlins are nice, their attack power is stinky. id go with scorpion :P.

The only real advantages of the kowlin over the scorpion is its HP (But barely)
and the speed, which makes it able to catch up to the opponents very quickly. It also has a level 4 flesh ream.

The alternitive you mentioned is a herc, and yes I have one, but it has bash, to get and keep aggro. I'm not sure that it is the best PVP pet for land considering it is slow, but a tad faster then the scorpion.

So go Kowlin or scorp, the downside to scorp is it takes sooooooooooo long to level, but is it really that much better?

Yes, Kowlin's damage is lower than Herc's or Scorp's but it's actually pretty decent. The Scorpion is certainly worth leveling, tho i would personally prefer the Kowlin. It will not only save you considerable time and money over the scorp but some venos actually do prefer it for pvp because of it's speed. It also makes the best PvE puller you can get.

Maybe an eldergoth marksman (dunno the name of them in this version)? They have decent attack/speed, plus their normal attack is ranged.

You can always just catch a higher level golem too. Higher leveled ones typically start off with higher speed, even though their attack will be smaller than an initially lower level golem.

Solandri - Heavens Tear

The kowlin's damage is not that far below the scorp's (1774 DPS vs. 2002 DPS with regular attacks). So it's fine for PvE and especially boss fights. It comes pre-loaded with some nice debuff skills so I use my kowlin for pulling and debuffing in boss fights.

But for PvP, you're mainly interested in front-loaded damage. The scorp's high attack (to counter its slow attack speed) really helps here. Its Bash and Flesh ream will hit 50% harder than the kowlin's.

The kowlin got an early rep as a good PK pet because it came pre-loaded with Flesh Ream 4, and was fast so it could chase down runners. In a confined space like SP, scorp all the way.

Tearvalerin - Sanctuary

Eldergoth isnt a very good PVP pet, better used as a puller seno. The ranged attack maybe for distance shrinked wiz or archer, (cant use skills when hes in ranged mode) but overall Id say scorp is win.

Reason for herc with FR, huge huge survivability, and runs faster than most people can. Thereare some pvpers on Sanc who use him and he works wonders (not miracles).

I could never use my herc for PVP lol, the time I tried made me fall flat on my face - probably cause it only has the bash skill, I didnt bother with flesh ream since it is my tank.
