Swimming in air?

I've seen some random people swimming randomly before. Not in water at all. They just swim in instances, being able to move up and down beyond jumping height and into the ground. They also can fly by swimming outside of instances and outside of a body of water. Is this a ****? or just my crappy computer lagging?

    It's a **** called "noclip.exe".

    Basically it's so crazy and hacking it doesn't even exist lol

    But... well... frankly, I have no idea how does a 300 pound lion float in the air like a butterfly.. Physics? Yea, that's all bull**** now lol

    I don't know about outright swimming away from bodies of water, but I do know that the swimming animation kicks in early *over* bodies of water, like when the character has jumped off a cliff into the water. The swim anim starts a little before they hit it.

    But being able to do the up and down while in the swimming position? In the air? I'd love to see a vid of that for the lulz :)

    If you see someone sprawled, still, in midair, they might have glitched midair getting off their mount and done a faint, but that's more static than what you're talking about.

    I have never played a barbarian, but I can make my wings vanish sometimes when I stop flying, and then start again, bouncing off the ground right when I start flying.

    I imagine something like this happens:

    game control logic: stop flying
    game rendering logic: ok, i am shutting down now
    game control logic: start flying
    game rendering logic: ok, i am still flying
    game rendering logic: ok, flying shut down, wings gone and everything

    Maybe something similar happens with untamed flyers?

    I don't think so, Fleuri. Barbs ride their mounts upright, there wouldn't be a reason for him to be prone like that. Perhaps something that happens if he switches from tiger to homonid while jumping/flipping?

    On the Elf's screen, canceling the wings results in a tucked wing, swoop down animation where the body is partially prone. On anyone else's screen, the player animation switches to a wingless Elf running "in place" standing upright as he rapidly drops from the sky. No swimming :(

    I've seen the hiding mount glitch/bug. Its not the same.

    This person was clearing SWIMMING in the air. Also, like the previous person said, when barbs get the fly mount glitch, they're still standing upright not in a front crawl position.

    If you look at the arms, you'll see that this is very clearly a swimming animation. Compare, if needed, with the elf flying across the top of the screen - though both are in a prone position, the barbarian's position is far less rigid than the elf's, and far more dynamic.

    Possibly, it's a glitch in the client that interprets a very specific area as "water" rather than "ground" and displays a swimming animation rather than a running animation. Just like how elves can fly without their wings showing due to a hiccup in the "wings on, wings off" code.

    i saw a guy last night flying on his bear mount. it was flying around like any other air mount, near the bolden goldwing. and i have pics of it too...weirdest thing to watch!

    Anyway, I don't think the swimming in the air is a ****.
    A long time ago, I was helping my bf do that turtle quest in South Archosuck, and then we were dueling...then he started swimming in the air...

    And I know this isn't a **** because:
    1) I know for a fact he doesn't ****
    2) (No offense hun if you're reading this lol) He doesn't know how to
    3) He just really started the game

    there are flying turtles in the Great Lake too...must be something in the water that makes them high too!

    absolutely nothing as there isnt any real disadvantages to other people unless of course they get reports of pkers killing and running off in flying polarbears xD

    no, it wasnt an instance of PKing...my son(the wolf barb on the blue manta) and i were there to get the big birds, and this was a team that came to do the same quest after we had already finished. i was just blown away by the flying bear! if its a ****, its a fun one!

    Heh, I've seen the turtle flying glitch a few times since before PWI, but I've yet to see the swimming glitch.
