should I buy axes or hammers if..

I'm going the axe-hammer path but I'm useing my FB19 weapon still should I buy a set at level 29 or hold off?

    Around level 29 or 30 is prolly where you will be replacing your fb19 weapon. If you looking for a legendary weapon the Handaxes of demonic roar are a good replacement if your planning on going with an Axe build.

    you can also try your hand at making some, hope for at least 2 star, I believe they are called gold plated Hammers or something for level 29, they should out damage your Fb weapon, no problem.

    If you are good with spending money, you can buy the legendary or buy a set of the gold plated ones from the Auction house, but they will cost you. The legendary will prolly last you 10 levels, but the others may only be good for about 5 levels before you start needing a lil more damage.

    A set of two star Gold Plated Handaxes should last until level 37, if you can find a set. (at least they did for my barb)

    The 29 hammers are Gold Plated Hammers.


    Axes = high end damage is higher, but a larger damage range, and a much low end on the damage range means their DPS is slightly lower.

    Hammers = High end damage is lower, but a smaller damage range with the low end being much higher means their DPS is slightly higher.

    stick with axes after you switch. the hammer is okay but it does lower damage of the course of time. axes you may do lower damage from time to time but you also get high attack damage then the hammers making a big difference when fighting tough mobs.

    I disagree. The hammers are better IMO. More reliable damage output. If they had duel TT hammers I would use those. But you should pick your preference. A lot of people like the axes.
