Hi there.

I am starting a mage and am curious as to what different combos you guys use for different mob types. What combos do you guys use and why?

    For most mobs up to my lvl - gush as opener and then pyro-gush-pyro-... until mob's death. Insert phoenix somewhere if mob is closeranged, or distance shrink if it's ranged and can not be killed fast enough. On some mobs it's good to open with stone rain or divine pyrogram but usually it's not. Against fishes of 4X i've used stone-gush-pyro-phoenix-stone; may be not best a combo but I was untouched most of the time. Can't wait for glacial snare, it's such a good opener on later levels... mostly perfect.

    For a large chunk of the early game: gush-> run -> gush -> run

    Actually...almost 70 and I'm still doing a variation of that...

    Depending on mobs and level and thier elements
    Early lev, Pyro,Gush,Pyro,Gush Kite Gush kite gush against everything.
    Little later Stone Rain, gush,pyro,gush, kite, gush
    If its earth based then back to gush,pyro,gush,pyro
    If its fire pased, SR,G,SR, Kite, G

    Little later DP > G > P > G > Kite > G

    There is alot of user prefrence in here too.

    i use a strong opening (d pyro, ss, sr) and after that i use the mobs weakness. i sometimes throw in a crown of flame or pitfall to make the mob die faster (even though they are lvl 1 they are very effective for their lvl)
    Sins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
    Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
    Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
    So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze
