I"d say yes, when you make good items you can sell them for a damn good price, plus the exp you get from making them. I honestly regret not upping my manufacturing skills....then again I never intended for Gaho to be a main either T.T

Normally, no, you don't NEED your skills in crafting up. You might want a level or two in apothecary for the sake of making powders and such. But, no, you don't need blacksmith, craftsman and tailor.

But, the second you start thinking about TT weapons and armour and making legendaries and decomposing... You'll need a skill level in tailor or blacksmith or craftsman.

Honestly, Do you make money when you build TT weapons and armour?
    Over selling the items?

On Sanctuary at least I have never heard of people making money from crafting. On the average the items you craft are worth less than the materials required.

    The benefits of crafting are:
    1) Getting your name on gear
    2) Not having to ask friends to craft for you
    3) Being able to decompose 3 stars for mirage (without having a friend do it)

You may not make tons of money when crafting TT weapons/armor, but if you don't have the crafting skill you have to trust your mats with other people (who could easily take it and run off).

You generally so not make money off of your TT armor and weapon. However, this greatly depends on how you may progress with them.

I say this because: In order to get hh80 armor (not including gold) you have to decomp your hh70 gear for the soulgem (used as one of the mats). Same goes for your weapon. Now, if you decide to get hh70 gear and then hh80 comes around and you decide to get the hh80 gold gear. Then you might be able to make something off of your gear. It just depends on what people are willing to spend.

Personally, I do not know if someone would pay the asking price of my hh70 gear (all 4 sockets, 4 beautiful Citrine, +2...they are smexy b:cute).

SIDE NOTE: I only lvl'd Apoth and Craftsman. Craftsman I felt was more important then the others because you tend to craft more armor then you do weapons. Especially when dealing with your HH70-HH90 (if you go that route). b:pleased

    ~hope that answered you question~

Apothecary is easy to level, there are herbs everywhere, and the items are useful. So it should definitely be raised.

I actually leveled blacksmith and tailor first. I got bored one day and raised my apothecary up. Now that I have my blacksmith and tailor at 6 and apothecary at 6, I'm raising my craftsman.

Even if you may not necessarily get profit from it, it's something to do if you're bored of everything else.

if you have a friend you trust who has them lvld then you dont need to lvl yours. but with that said SOME people MUST have these skills otherwise nobody would be able to craft any tt or mold stuff. so if youre into that then go for it, if not, make a friend who is.

This. I see cheap *** gear in the AH pretty regularly, you can make quite a decent profit just decomposing and reselling.
