The classic wizard builds are well explained in the stickied guides. However, I have a question related to dexterity.

Dexterity does not help a wizard to hit, right? But does higher dexterity still help increase the chances of critical damage?

If so, is there any merit to going mostly pure wizard, but with some points in dexterity? (for the purpose of increased criticals, and maybe some evasion)

My guess is that the extra chance to get a critical isn't good enough to compensate for the loss in magic points. Comments?

    20 points for just 1% crit is hardly worth it. With certain gear it might be worth going for that 20 dex for the first 1%, but going beyond that is a waste.
    Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

    actually my wizard is something that i call dex/pure mag hybrid

    i have 40 dex for 2% crit and i have items that offer +crit % at my lvl i have 5% crit. i dont reccomend it though cause if you crit you gonna steal aggro
    Sins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
    Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
    Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
    So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze

    Evasion is pretty worthless too. Unless your playing with low lev barbs, your not going to evade much of anything. Happens...but rarely. Not enough to consider a perk of the build.
