Pure PVP Build

Okay. So I am now a level 40 BM, and I am on a PVP server, harshlands.
I am going to make a Pure PVP build, and a TW build.
Firstly, I would like to state that I allways have a charm (heiro) and don't really worry about my 2100HP ATM. I capped my vit at 45, and am focussing on just STR and DEX.

What my idea is.... only enough STR to equip my weapons (i guess 6/two level) and the rest to DEX, so it would be 6str 4dex / 2 levels. Is this a good build?

I want to have as high of a crit rate as possible, for maximum damage.
At the moment, I do wonders in PVP due to my fantastic lvl 37 +4 Berserk axes +3str +3dex +50 accuracy. Each Berserk hit takes about 100 HP off, but this doesnt matter much to me.

The biggest problem is hitting archers, so that is why I used the DEX build, that and I read that DEX builds are powerhouses near end-game and they own at PVP.

In addition to this, I have read 4 contradicting opinions about socketing;
One opinion is that I should use Accuracy stones - I will desregard this because other than archers, I usually do not miss.

Second one is that I should socket Magic Def stones - Allthough I do agree with the abysmal magic defense of heavy armor, that's the reason why alter-marrow-magical exists, countered with golden bell, this skill spammed every so often can keep you alive for quite a bit against mage types.

Third one is Physical Defense. This is the most imortant (?) stat for Tanks, but I do not think that it is very needed, due to the high def that we axe BM have anyway.

Fourth one. HP. I think this is the most important stone, but just would like to get your oppinion on it. after a few TW's I really hate getting 2-hitted by by wizards (high level ones) but I guess it can't be helped, but most importantly, I need enough HP to last me those critical 10 seconds before my heiro ticks.... So this is the most important one to use?

Okay, so that is about all I could think of, I have the skills down pat, and I just need a bit of guidence on the stat point allocation.

Thanks!

I can only give my own personal advice towards this, since this BM build is full PvP....heres just a few things i did:

Capped my vit at 30. Put enough str to wear your axes, then pile the rest onto dex. Shards for your heavy armor should be citrines, and I also carry a separate set of TT70 light armor, sharded with mag def shards. You can switch armors depending on which class you are fighting.

Berserk is the bomb, as soon as you hit 70 get those calamity axes. Also a misty forest ring later on will boost your accuracy pretty well. Your dex should already be high enough however to have a high evasion and accuracy....

You can use all the types of weapons with this build including fists and higher level bows. I reccomend using axes primarily but I also have a sword, dual swords, a poleaxe, fists, and I'm able to use the Penetrator bow.

Hope this helps with your build

Wow, I thought I was the only one doing all these things.b:victory

My main is not axes (sword/fists) but the rest we are pretty close.

I wish I could have the penetrator, I meet the requirements. I just dont have the cash.b:cry

There really isnt a set pvp build in my opinion because if you keep your hp super low you will get 1 shotted by mages/archers which in a pvp sense is not goodb:pleased having the extra dex is great but misty rings can ease the case of the mondays u feel against archers and u will need the extra vit to tank the nukes while these guys kite your ****.

gogo stun n zerk hopefully your low vit didnt get you killed before you could reach em b:bye

The penetrator is this mighty bow:

You are probably wondering why a BM uses a bow?, LOL thats a long story b:laugh

But short answer is:you dont need it. However, its there if you creative enough to use it.

Hmmm I'm thinking about an axe/fist build because I capped my vit at 45 for now as well (With bonuses from equips totaling to around 6 of the 45) then str for axes and the rest into dex. That means I would have enough dex to use fists well right? Because even tho I've only tried this 2 or 3 times, I find hitting drake bash then switching to fists to deal consistent dmg then using shadowless kick, then switching back to axes to use my other 2 stuns usually permanently disables my opponents :|
Does wonders vs clerics and mages as well....Using that tactic I've managed to duel (yes yes I know) and win against a lvl 45 mage and a lvl 48 cleric (I was lvl 35 at the time)
I have 2 crazy lup rings and around 8 socketed +15 hp citrines, with my axe having 2 blemished accuracy and my fist having 2 blemished garnets. Whaddya think? O.o

Just wow..... That's a really intricate stratagy you have there XD
For fists, you can go to this website (PW database) and check out requirements of the various fists (dex wise)
For example, for level 38 claws you will need 79 DEX (you have more than enough STR)
    Hope that helps

I got the same question last sunday. This is why:

I'm killing Ravaging Yayan (magic/melee mob) and another sword BM is doing it too.

He noticed that I'm doing something really weird for him. I'm starting the fight with marro physical in sword, I switch to fists for a bit, return to sword and in some cases I'm starting the fight with poleaxe.

All weird to him. Well after couple minutes of looking, he sends me a squad invite. I acepted.

A minute later he asks whatis my built. I said sword/fists with a bit of axes.

then he asked me why do I do it?. I said I can block/cancell every mag attack from the mob by using fists and axes and I kill the mob by normal sword attacks.

    He said: "yeah right"

    Well, I said: "just watch"

I killed 3 mobs in a row without taking a single magic hit and then he asked your question:

"So, wait you can cancell any cleric attack?"

    I answered:

"No, mobs are predictable but people are not, lol"

The reason is simple mobs attack you the same way everytime. There is a cycle for magic attacks and they hint prior doing it.

They also have the melee area and mag area. You play with those.

However, its posible to aim at blocking/cancelling clerics and mages. I'm working on strategies on it. b:victory

I actually have 5 base vit, and its 52 with bonuses....gives me a ton of extra points to put in other places.

Reason I said to cap at 30 is because it gives most people some room to work with their character and customize it the way they want to

    HP Shards are the best.

At level 90+ you can use magic defense ones if you have your armors refined to a good level. All the others are a waste.

Your build is fine for now, and it will keep being that way as long as you use HP Shards and +HP/VIT equipment.

At level 70-77 you just change for VIT build and you will have the best PvP build (considering you use Axes).

At level 90 if you have good equipment, you can lower your VIT and add more DEX. You only have around 180 stat points to use at that level anyways so it won't be much difference, just make sure to have at least 8k HP without buffs.

For TW VIT build is the best.

I like the idea of using one element shard in just your wrists or boots.

Like perfect metal defense. Would be nice for archers and clerics. But then again I do love my hp.
