Question about in game mailbox

Hi ho...

we hav just a little argument about how long messages (and items) stay in your in-game mailbox.
Certainly, if you read a message and if you take items sent to you the message will disappear after 2 days.
but what about if:

• a) you read a message and dont take the item out (caus your inv is full or you simply forgot to take it)
  
• b) you look into your mailbox, noticing that there is a new message but don't read it
  
• c) you dont look into your mailbox, because
  [-]c.1) you dont want to look
  [-]c.2) you dont log into the game (cause you are away from your PC, Your grandma is ill or the End of the world)?

Messages with items in them will stay in your mailbox forever, read or unread.

Messages with no item will be deleted after 2 days if read, or 30 days if unread.
