Ancient PW, lvl100 culti, Rebirth Order BUUUUGGED...

Im sure everyone has tried, or has heard of, the rebirth order event aka Valley of Reciprocity...

After being able to enter Ancient Perfect World you gain another cultivation quest to access more maps there. This quest first asks you to kill a few mobs and bosses in Ancient PW, then some bosses in Twilight Temple, then a boss in fb89, a few bosses in fb99, and then you have to kill a boss in VR (Valley of Reciprocity) to finish the quest chain and gain access to the Unicorn Forest of Ancient Perfect World.

I also know that for getting your 3rd fairy (lvl 100 culti) you need to kill some boss in the final stage of that event. (Im not there yet, but we tried for some ppl in our guild)

At lvl85+, VR is VERY hard, but do-able...
However, the event is bugged: If you die you normally get teleported to a starting point so you can re-join the battle. The problem is: Randomly people get teleported back to Thousand Stream City after dying and they cant join back. This means the whole party can forget the event and go out or start all over.

Yesterday we tried about 5 times, every time someone got teleported out before we could kill our boss for the quest.
We spent over 2 hours trying and a load of charms, pots and whatnot...
Best part: I died, teleported out and died AGAIN in TSC safezone, using a doll b:cry

(Some of my guildies were able to finish their quest a few days ago since they were lucky and no one got teleported out -.-)

Anyone got a way to avoid that bug so we can do our cultivation?
GMs, any ideas?

If its not possible to fix this bug soon, is there a way you help us to get this stage of the cultivation done? It is frustrating if you cannot enjoy the Expansion since its not possible to do the quest because of a bug...

b:thanks

My understanding of it is that you get ported back if you die in the respawn area, to stop you from getting stuck being overwhelmed, and just dying over and over and over again.
If so, then move away from the respawn area before dying again.

Why do they have to make so stupid long complicated almost imnpossible to make quests to give us access to those new areas to begin with? It's almost as if they don't want us to go in there.

Other games I played either had easy fun storywise quests to make to allow us access to their new zones, or simply gave us access without any requirements.

I'm not a fan of the rebirth order bugs, but I do appreciate that people don't just get handed their new fairies when they hit 89/99/100. Achievements are only worth striving for if they count for something.

Failed. We are talking about getting access to new map areas, like ancient time heaven tears.

    Agreed.

The problem here isnt a too easy cultivation or anything though. The whole quest chain is VERY hard anyway (or else all our lvl100 people on the server had their 100 fairy already and people would colonise Unicorn Forest in Ancient PW).

The problem here is that i cant complete my quest because i get kicked out of the dungeon and cant go in again after doing half of the rebirth thing...

My complaint has nothing to do with effort, i like working for achievements as well. My problem is in the fact that i cant do it at all since a bug stops me from doing so b:angry

You need the fairy (= the completed cultivation) to learn the new skills for lvl89, lvl99, lvl100.

    And: they look awesome ^^

Only 5 of us in Lost City has access to the new map in the past "Unicorn Forest." I am aiming for the 5k drop helm :P Almost there somewhat :D

Anyway, my party was lucky, and didn't randonly get kicked until the 8th Phase/Boss. 3 hours worth of constant HP/MP charms burning.

Yet again, 5 of us are at the Cultivation back into the Godless Valley, 1 step further for the 3rd map. The only problem that is stopping us, is the bug. I love putting the effort, but it goes to waste when something half works.

what i've found looking through various forums is that getting ported back to thousand streams is NOT a bug.
if 3+ people die at once, they all get ported
also, if you have a GA you get ported
i once found an in depth guide...though i doubt i could find it again
sorry, but i hope this helps a bit b:surrender

are the mobs somewhat easy to kill? and is the drop rate alright?

    You sir, are false.

Anyway, the mobs have high chances of being life increased, and they aren't easy to kill. You need really, I mean really high dps, in order to keep up with the next waves.

Not going to release full details on how to do it b:cute

someone in a rebirth thread hypothesized that the bug was caused by the following:

upon death, the "go to town/res/use scroll" option is bypassed and you are automatically teleported to the celebean room. the problem is that some mobs deal damage after a delay. (a similar thing happens with ranged players in the dragon temple event: firing a bolt/shot/etc before a target dies, but the target is killed by another player/mob first. the target instantly respawns at the spawn point, but the bolt/shot is still in flight to the target, and the target dies a second time right at the spawn, after their first spawn.)
so you die from a mob's attack while *in* the celebean room, and this causes you to be teleported out to 1 thousand streams.

the only solution i can think of is development related:
disable autoteleporting upon death, and/or change the spawn point to the celebean room to the system like in territory war: leave the option for res/scroll/go to town, but "going to town" will only teleport you to the beginning of the instance - not OUT of the instance.

I don't know if this is true, but several Chinese guides mention that if it appears that you are going to die, do not move the mouse or touch any keys on the keyboard... just die and you will not be ported to 1k Stream, but remain inside the Valley.

Since you did tests of your own, I doubt you guys will get any productive results.

For one, can you GMs even die? That is the whole point of the bug.

If you GMs, however used your "real hidden" characters that you play among us, what were your results? Mind to share?

Most companies have internal test servers that they can use to test these things out; I'm pretty sure PWE is no different.

    Our party of 6:
1 person in the party died twice. Stayed in the Valley both times.
2 people in the party died twice. First time stayed in the Valley, 2nd time they ported out to 1k Streams.
1 person in the party died and got ported out right away to 1k Streams.

This was my 5 hours worth of trying result:

Starting quest bugged, had to restart.
1 person died, stayed in valley.
Same person died, got kicked to 1k streams.
Restarting, got kicked to 1k immediately.
Went to 3rd wave after that same person dying several times, and kicked to 1k streams.
After 2 hours of getting where we wanted, our party went to the 8th wave, and we died so many times getting there, but we didn't bug out and get kicked until that wave.

Seems familiar to me, it kicks you randomly out, not every time. Mostly you get kicked when you have a lot of mobs on you and die (at least thats for me).

Thing is: If you forward this issue to the developers, its gonna take a long time for something to happen i guess (no criticism here).

Meanwhile we sit on our quest and cant complete neither our Ancient PW culti nor the lvl100 one, except for some people who get lucky and dont get kicked out.

Dont get me wrong, im happy for the people who made it, but we tried again yesterday, result: First try healer get kicked in 3rd stage, Second try I get kicked 3rd stage.

I dont mind trying again, but i dont wanna rely on luck to complete this quest and spent tons of money hoping to get lucky once.

Can you do something for people who have the quest and cant complete it until development has found a solution?

Its kinda super-frustrating when you cant finish a cultivation (i had this quest for over 3months now b:cry) because the game wont let you do it. b:surrender

Nah. The Perfect World devs in China have a very quick method for fixing bugs in events : they shut them off :

1 - Bug in Forrest ruin event : instead of fixing the bug, they shut off the event.

2 - Bug in Monthly race event : instead of fixing it, they shut off the event.

3 - I don't know why the arena in cities where closed, but I would not be surprised if it was because of some bug in them b:chuckle

It's a shame they can't do that in this situation, as two cultivations require that this instance be done.

Another aspect of the bug where u get kicked is that u might loose dolls <.<

Ive lost about 2 dolls so far doing Rebirth Order. U get kicked and respawn dead on the ground in Thousand Stream City and "1 guardian angel disappear" since yours no longer inside instance. It really sucks since you're not suppose to lose dolls doing Rebirth order. If i would have been kicked without dolls i might have lost exp, who knows lol

But doing Rebirth order is all about luck, if u get kicked or not. And someone always gets kicked. And considering all the money u have to spend in MP/HP gold charms, repairs, pvp-pots etc etc its really quite scandalous the possibility to get far is all about luck due to a game bug.

The issue is kinda clearly due to lag.
If you have alot of mobs on you you can have several mobs doing damage before the damage from the first mob gets applied.
If damage from the first mob kills you you are instantaneous ported to the spawn location where the damage from slightly later mobs is applied killing you again. If you have even more damage incoming you can be killed again in 1k streams.

    Solution:
Rather than the devs changing the mechanics of dying a GM should be able to implement a quest that would safeguard against being ported. This is similar to how quests in the cube's PK room work and I'm fairly sure GM's can make quests.

Upon entering the main room receive a quest -> Call it "In Fighting"
The trigger of the quest is entering the area and the quest is completed when you die anywhere in the valley of reciprocity.
Upon completion you receive another quest "Return to fighting"
"Return to fighting" autocompletes after a 5 second timer
Upon completion the quest teleports you to the valley spawn location and gives you the quest "In Fighting"

While it wont prevent you from being kicked out it is a good **** to be ported back. Also this won't prevent losing a GA but that is a more rare problem.

Well Asterelle, the only problem with that idea is that, cube is an OPEN instance, meaning anyone can enter an instance, just like hell and heaven. It's just another map. Regardless if you "teleport to town" you will be at the beginning or the nearest town, and not into the world map.

This however, think of HH/FBs/any other "6-party" instances, where if you "teleport to town" you will be ported back into the world map. Make sense right? But there is a slight different coding to these type of stuff.

HH/TT : You die, you don't auto-respawn. You usually wait for a res.

FB : You die, you don't auto-respawn. You usually wait for a res.

Lunar Valley/Cresent Valley: You die, you don't auto-respawn. You usually wait for a res.

Frost Walk: You die, you don't auto-respawn. You usually wait for a res.

Goddess Valley: You die, you auto-respawn, causing you to be bugged and get kicked into the world map.

The two other areas I know about where you autorespawn are the cube and dragon temple.

In any case although I am not entirely convinced that entering an instance and being teleported around the map are fundamentally different, the teleport stone is good evidence that they may be. A teleport stone does not teleport you into an instance, instead it teleports you to the entrance of the instance which then transfers you into the instance.

Maybe a solution would be to have a new safe zone that is actually safe. A new room, if you die there you will autorespawn in the same spot.

The problem I believe is that they put the auto respawn location in a potentially dangerous area so they added a safeguard to teleport you to 1k steams. This safeguard backfires due to damage lag which backfires.

Cube and Dragon Palace auto respawns, in a public open map, not a 6-man map.

That is what I was trying to say about the codings. Quite simple bug imo.
