EVENT: Easter Egg Hunting Extravaganza! Sunday, April 12th!

This coming Easter Sunday (April 12th) the Great Easter Bunny himself will hop on by to your neck of the woods and pass out 100 "Lucky" Eggs (per server) along with other assorted giggles, thrills and bunny hopping mayhem!

Mr. Bunny will make his appearance on the banks of the Originia River just North of the bridge leading to the Inn of the Eagle. For a 25 minute span, 100 "Lucky" Eggs will be dropped in and around this vicinity. If you are lucky and quick enough, one of these eggs will be yours including whatever goodies are contained within!

The Easter Bunny make his appearance to each server at the following times:

Dreamweaver - 11 a.m. Pacific (2 p.m. Eastern)

Lost City - 11:30 a.m. Pacific

Harshlands - 12:00 p.m. Pacific (3 p.m. Eastern)

Sanctuary - 12:30 p.m. Pacific

Heaven's Tear - 1 p.m. Pacific

    wow.. seriousley?

    Usually I can justify events but 100eggs divided by 10 000 000 000 players online at the exact same spot? What are they thinking? Why dont u pick 10 locations from 1k stream to noobville and drop 10 eggs at each?

    How many times do we need to go thru this? DONT make an event where the whole server has to attend at one location.

    Problems:
    1. Only one location, uber lagfests and fast mounts = big advantage.
    2. only a 100 eggs! What... do you get 100 gold from each egg or 50 lvlups? How about 500 eggs? or some more realistic number based on the population of the server.

    I hope the next event will be something that any player can derive benefit from and not only a lucky 100...

    PASS!! Too much lag for me unfortunately, why could it not be spread around a bit and at different times to give everyone a chance, and I mean 100 eggs among how many hundreds if not thousands of people likely to turn up at the same spot at the same time. I guess I won't be able to get within 50 yards of an egg due to the massive lag.

    Sorry! but in advance another massive FAIL!! in my honest opinion. b:sad

    Ill still go even if there is lag, I mean if everyone is lagging, then everyone has a fair chance of getting it, unless your being pked...

    Dvorak-Can we have a list of possible prizes for this?

    I'm guessing the prize should be good since there's only 100

    I'll try to go but the massive lag is just a turn off. Personally I liked the Valentine Event that wasnt so bad.

    LOL. I totally agree. I wonder how much whoever came up with this event gets paid. It is probably better to not have the event at all. Many more players will end up being unhappy than happy. b:cry

    That depends on the number of people. Didn't work in the last event. Character information is sent from server, at some point, your computer graphics stop being the bottleneck and server load lags you down. Nothing to do if the problem is not on your end.

    Dunno, it worked for me during the Archosaur Siege event- lag went away completely with Best Performance turned on. High-end computer for the win ^_^

    But yeah, I agree that events that force everyone to congregate in a single area for a limited number of prizes isn't a bad idea. I prefer the way Guild Wars runs their events- all monsters have a small chance of dropping event items, and everyone who attends the main event gets something. No limited quantities, no level restrictions.

    Still, I'll be there. It's only half an hour of my time, and the GMs make me laugh :D

    i agree. the Christmas event was the only one to date that has given *everyone* a chance at getting nice things, and even a chance to level pets.

    not going to bother with this, b:sadit ranks right up there with the assault on arch, wraith attacks on busy places,and GM appearances, for uberlag, and no chance at picking up anything worth the time spent there.

    Ok I like the fact GM's even do events but this is....lol. 100 eggs per server? My guild has like 80 people online at times. Thats barely enough for 1 guild.

    You can turn customizations off. Go into options->UI and uncheck the customizations box. Everyone will look the same.

    Could have been nicer if it had been an actual egg hunt. 100 eggs (or more) scattered randomly thru out the world would have been kinda fun. Especially if there was some kind of counter showing how many are left.
