Venomancer VS. Archer + so many other questions... ~

So yeah, a level 80 Hunter from Warcraft now retired and found Perfect world just 3 days ago and said,"WOW"

I really like Perfect World... I dare say even more than Warcraft.
BUT! I don't plan on maxing out TWO characters.

Im more of a range type fighter. Kill from afar and such. I hate long battles and archers are the class that burst out attacks before a monster gets to you.
I also like to have pets, it keeps things interesting and as we grow together, I create a special relationship with my eats a lot, non talkative pets. O_o

1. Which class has a better chance of leveling up faster?
2. Which class has a higher chance of getting into a group?
3. Which class has more buffs?
4. Which class a higher survivalbility
5. Which class, as they level, have a better looking armor? :P
6. Which class has flashier skills? xD
7. Which class can solo those annoying mini-boss quest?
8. I don't like to wait for someone to come over. Im not very social and I 9. prefer playing solo.
(I kited a level 35 mini boss at level 29 kiting! I hate kiting though)

Which class do you think i'll like more end game?
Oh and im planning to spend A LOT of gold on a character to make my outer look great. Psh, what do you expect? xD

4. When and HOW do I get those really sparkly wings from the vid I saw before playing the game? 0.o I don't know what your talking about but i think your talking about those wings that elfs have, those are at 50 i believe

6. Is it possible to send ALL my stuffies (Equipment, cash, items) to another one of my characters? Yes but each equipment is 500 coins to transfer, and if you wanted coins to another character you could just create two accounts... But i think that is illegal... oh well i only have 1 b:pleased

archers have more buffs. archer has 2. veno has 1 ... and another that it can only use on herself.

archer's skills are way flashier especially the aoe.

armor in this game isnt separated by race. anyone can wear any type of armor if spec'ed right.

Ok so I am logged on as my noob account but I have other characters that are higher lvls and I'm pretty experienced in this game, I just too lazy to change my posting avatar right now. =D

I have played every single one of the classes, some multiple times. Personally the one I keep coming back too is the veno but don't let my preference influence your decision.

Firstly, venomancers lvl up faster than any other class and thats pretty much a guarantee as long as you don't **** around with your skill points. If you purchase a hercules/phoniex (venos are great at using up real life cash if you go for a legendary pet) you lvl up super fast and get a ton of coins. Anyways, legendary pets go for around 20,000,000 coins (In game money) or $200+ (real life USD). There is a herc and a phoniex and a lvl 60 herc can pretty much tank a lvl 90 to put that in perspective (ok maybe I am slightly exagerating that but its still really good).

Both venomancers and archers aren't a necessity in a group. Venomancers are excelent solo'ers and archers are damage dealers. Venomancer are wanted in groups only for luring or if the have a herc/phoniex. Archers are wanted but not usually a necessity (similar to venos). Archers can kinda subsitute as a lurer but they aren't very good at it. Archers are great damage dealers but they are only wanted if there is already a tank and a healer.

Both classes have ok buffs. If you wanna do good buffs be a cleric. Probably after cleric comes the wizard. Clerics are the healers/buffers and are always wanted. Wizards can heal and buff but their buffs are weaker and the heal spell take like 6 seconds to cast. Clerics can also ressurect the dead and wizards can't. As far as venos and archers go for buffs, its kinda equal and just depends on what class your buffing. Both don't have the greatest buff though - we'll just say buffing isn't what their wanted for.

Depends, if your veno has a herc/phoniex its pretty much immortal. Both are good and since archers have knock-back arrow they are pretty much covered. Both are ok at survivability but if something skips the pet and goes for the venomancer the veno is kinda screwed (depends on build) but if something gets to the archer it can survive longer. If you properly use your pet venos own but then again since archers knock-back they can own too.

As far as looks goes, does it really matter? They both have nice looking armor. Strangely, at a very high lvl the archer and veno armor look kinda similar. I'd say as far as coolest class it would be someone with the heavy armor (probably barbarian or blademaster). Of course, you can buy clothes from the cash shop. I think as far a sexy and cute/cool clothing the female clothing wins but the male clothing is pretty cool looking and kinda I guess... menacing?

The class with the coolest skill is the wizard. At of these two though its probably the archer. The veno isn't too focused on skills since it has a pet and most veno attacks are pretty similar and consist of little flying things being shot at the enemy while the archer has a bunch of cool looking little flying things being shot at the enemy :P

As far as soloing mini bosses VENOMANCER!!!!!!

Venos nothing comes over cause your pet hold it off while you heal pet and cast spells. Archer can knock-back and occasionally if far enough away can kill the enemy before it comes close.

I think venomancers are the way to go but I leave that up to you. BTW!!!! VENOMANCERS CAN ONLY BE FEMALE!!!! ARCHERS CAN BE MALE OR FEMALE!!!

you will have to do some grinding (more or less depending on your class and lvl) and quests do end; however there will be more quests

lvl 20 for ground; lvl 30 for flying (flying you can do a quest and get one free, ground you gotta buy from cash shop or with Dragon Orders or in-game coins)

4. When and HOW do I get those really sparkly wings from the vid I saw before playing the game? Lol.

Probably purchased from the cash shop (there are lvl requirements probably 50 but it could be 30) - some wings have not yet been released

no (except maybe if your female)

if your other character is on the same server, if you switch server then no. Choose your server and stick to it. If you purchase a legendary pet it cannot be transfered even if its on the same server. I'd suggest either Harshlands or Dreamweaver since those are the 2 new servers and they have more opertunity.

On this part I can't say I fully agree here. Venos are the only class that can lure mobs. So for Elvenshooter, this is similar to mob aggro management like a mage using sheep in Warcraft. So for later FB's (Instances), certain quests and Twilight Temple runs, Venos are a MUST in every squad while archers are just damage dealers and not a required class. Since you also mentioned you prefer to solo, then Veno is the way to go.

I have one of each, one lvl 40 archer and one lvl 57 Veno. I love both classes, but for different reasons.

Veno is the ultimate solo leveler, and will level faster than anyone else until late game, when BMs can AoE grind effectively. Archers also level quite quickly, though.

2. Which class has a higher chance of getting into a group?
For most of the game, archer. For late-game dungeons, a single Veno is a must, but more than that is unlikely (while 2+archers aren't unheard of, but archers can be replaced by mages, clerics, other DDers)

3. Which class has more buffs?
Archers. Neither class has much in the way of buffs, though.

4. Which class a higher survivalbility?
This one really depends on how you play your Veno. If you can keep aggro on your pet, and avoid triggering new mobs with your Veno, then the Veno has almost ultimate survivability (if pet dies, you run). If you do trigger something with your Veno, you'll probably die very quickly. Archers generally have more survivability themselves, but everyone is targeting them.

5. Which class, as they level, have a better looking armor? :P
As has been said, anyone can use any armor. Stats, however, really decide for you. Almost all archers use light armor, since it requires lots of Dex and so do their bows. Most Venos play an Arcane build and use arcane armor, but some experiment with Light Armor or Heavy Armor builds (especially Fox-Form Venos). Read some guides about them to see the difference. As for which one looks better, I think Light Armor for girls, Arcane for guys (not that Veno's have that option), and Heavy Armor is good for both. That's really a matter of taste, though.

6. Which class has flashier skills? xD
Archer. Hands down. Veno skills are flat as a pancake in terms of flashiness AND variety (you'll basically use 2 of them most of the game). Archers get many useful skills with some decent flashiness to them. Still not great, though.

7. Which class can solo those annoying mini-boss quest?
Veno if anyone. Basically, if it can be soloed, it can be soloed by a Veno.

Venos are THE solo class for PWI, though archers don't do too shabby soloing. You will kite some as an archer, but not too much. If you ever kite as a Veno, you're doing something wrong.

From what you've said, probably Veno. But realize that a good Veno takes a lot of multi-tasking. If you don't like multi-tasking, go for an archer.

I started out as a Archer, played nonstop, and by the third or fourth day or so, I became level 30. xD (Don't know why my avatar isn't working)

Now from what you all said and others I found around the class forums, im finding myself to be more interested in Venomancers.

Im now going to start as a Veno and achieve for level CAP.
I won't delete my Archer, Elfaria of Dreamweaver, for you all also gave good feedback concerning Archers. I'll rarely use her from now on but I won't let a good Archer go to waste.

I played a Hunter as well and raided everything up to Kil'Jaeden. I thoroughly enjoy the Veno, very easy to adapt to. The play style is similar yet different enough to be fresh. I do miss bows though...
