I know we got enough bad **** players in here that SOMEONE must have/know something about an infinite macro, i.e i can just repeat gush/pyro ad infinitum w/o ever hitting a button.

There may be a script. If not, someone make one.

I heard there are keyboards that do this, but cost alot..........why would they cost alot, my Turbo Super Nintendo controller that i bought $15 , 15 years ago did this perfectly.

There is a little known action available for macros that is translated as "Walk behind the target" or something along those lines. It looks like a uturn symbol.

This description is incorrect. This is actually a repeat action. Place this as the first action in the macro and the macro will go back to that position once it reaches the end.

Try making a macro like this:

    Repeat - Gush - Pyro

    but the thing is...
macros are slower than just clicking them ;)

and there are some skills that will stop a macro like essential sutra...

Saved my life man, never knew to put it at beginning always tried the end xD

Why does it always stop constantly tho? What makes macros stop for no reason?

Edit: It does not even work, if set up as "Repeat > Gush > Pyro", then clicking macro makes me do this:

    "gush > pyro > gush > nothing....."

I think the macro will stop if a skill in the row is still in cooldown

Yeah, you have to arrange the macro so none of the skills are in cooldown when they come up.

Here is one I use for bosses when I'm not tanking them myself.

Repeat, Ironwood, Venomous, Blazing, Venomous, Lucky, Venomous, Noxious.

It's designed so that I never have cooldown issues. Although if a cleric uses the RB thing, that along with my -channeling gear makes me cast SO fast my macro does get stopped by cooldown.

    There is no cooldown issue.

Gush > Pyro > Gush > Pyro > Gush > Pyro > Gush > Pyro is my normal DD macro.

Appreciate the try tho, maybe someone can get it right for me......:P

EDIT : Got it to work with Gush>Pyro>StoneRain, curious why is there a cooldown issue even though i can normally attack w/ gush>pyro infinitely without a problem (even with no macro? DOES NOT COMPUTE

You have a cooldown issue of 0.2s

    Pyro
    Channel: 1.5 seconds
    Cast: 0.8 seconds
    Cooldown: 3.0 seconds

    Gush
    Channel: 1.0 seconds
    Cast: 1.0 seconds
    Cooldown: 3.0 seconds

I believe the cooldown timer starts at the beginning of the cast and must be finished before the next time channeling is started.
    For your gush:
gush Cast + pyro channel + pyro cast = 3.3s
    Since 3.3s > 3.0s no cooldown issue

    For your pyro:
pyro Cast + gush channel + gush cast = 2.8s
Since 2.8s < 3.0s cooldown you have a problem. You probably don't notice 0.2s when doing it manually but the macro exposes it.

This is why your pyro isn't casting but your gush is.

You can do either Pyro + Gush (stop here)

or Gush + Pyro + Gush (stop here)

Because of the 3.3 second cooldown of Gush - Pyro, you can do an additonal Gush after this. However, Pyro -Gush's 2.8 cooldown would stop at Gush because the cooldown of Pyro was not yet finished.

I'm surprised it would work, I suppose a non-repeating macro may be less restrictive?
You can still clearly see the 0.2s cooldown issue and that is what you were having the problem with on the repeating macro.

I used to use (Repeat), Gush, Pyro, but while it worked most of the time, it would occasionally break as you described. The worst was against Chintien, that fight took forever and my macro kept breaking. I switched to (Repeat), Gush, Pyro, Gush, Pyro, and I've had far fewer problems.

Infinite-repeat macros are mostly useful for boss fights, here are the other ones I have:
    1) (Repeat), Sandstorm, Stone Rain, Pyrogram.
This macro is fairly resilient to Interruptions, which is good, because Water bosses seem to interrupt a lot. I don't have to restart this one very often against Mantavip, which is nice.
    2) (Repeat), Glacial Snare, Gush, Sandstorm, Gush, Stone Rain, Gush.
    For Fire bosses, obviously.
    3) (Repeat), Morning Dew
My pro healing macro! It's awesome.

Yeah never dawned on me that my 8 step macro should not even work, I guess there just is somehow enough lag added that it works xD

You can cast a single spell repeatedly just by holding the button in regardless of cooldown.

For example, when I solo TT especially on squad mode there are some bosses that take 20+ min to kill. I dont want to stand there and press my heal button for 20 min. So I usually stick a penny/pen top etc into my heal button. Heal constantly goes off as long as the button is down.

Also for when Im DDing, dont feel like using all my spells, and cant use macro cause of cooldowns. Just use something to hold in the spell I want to cast and it will cast repeatedly as soon as the cooldown is down as long as the button is held in.

The hold down a button approach doesn't work if you want to minimise the game to go surf the net or something though.

the hold the button down approach is to make the game easier for you, NOT to bot and play the game for you while you go do other things.

Ups, my hands got to be slow then. I have never been able to beat the PC on PWI macros.

The good thing is while the macro is running, I can do other things related to the fight.

I guess is more usefull with bosses than with anything else.
