Cleric's Role in PvP

What's a support (not FAC) cleric's job in PvP? I'd like to know when to attack and when to heal. Most importantly what skills do you use when attacking and what skills to use when healing (I'm pretty sure you can't just stand there and spam ironheart in a TW).
Also my build is: (for every two levels)
7 mag
2 vit
1 str

Please give me some suggestions for strictly TW tactics, not PK. Thanks ^^

set a macro for magic defense, then physical defense, than magic attack. regen is useless in pvp. if whoever you're with doesn't have those buffs, make sure them get them. your priority of healing is barbarians, blademasters, then dds. make sure when you're getting jumped, you let people know it, and try to stay alive long enough to keep them alive.

if you're not alive, they could die. if everything is fine, you see the situation is under control - then you can fight.

First of all a noob question: what's a macro?

Secondly: what skills should I use when attacking a healing people? Plume shot or cyclone? Stream of rejuvenation or wellspring surge? Supposed that I'm level 100 and have all my skills maxed.

Also, is making sure everyone in my party is fully buffed a big priority?

1: Macro is a combo, go to your spell window with R and look at the bottom.

2: When you heal you use Ironheart Blessing and only that, if you wanna heal your party then you could use Chromatic Healing Beam or maybe Regeneration Aura (or blue buble as many call it) but I'm not sure if it would be any good in PvP situations. If you wanna attack, usually you attack with plume shots/razor feathers against robed users and cyclones/wield thunder/tempest on heavys and LAs.

3: Just take a look at your stats unbuffed then buff and see the difference, that should help you understand if it's a priority or not ;)

Switching thru spells in macro as a demon cleric is difficult and most time locks up under demon spark because of the accelerated casting but if u hoop into a fight with little or no chi then a normal set macro like above will be nice :D or using that macro then sparking but we are fragile nothing stopping a barb or archer from 1 hitting use with crits even thru plum shell so time to get a macro off without kiting prolly almost impossible vs those classes.

attacking varies from classes. robed: physical spells. light/heavy: elemental.

wellspring surge if you see them taking heavy hits, ironheart if something is just scraping their hp. using stream of rejuvenation in tw isn't advisable, as it has a very flashy animation and draws too much attention to you. wellspring does almost nothing.

Thanks alot for all the advice ^^
My main concern was how to heal people in TW, cause spamming ironheart like in PvE would obviously not be the way to go and I hear from alot of my guildmates that wellspring surge is the best and most commonly used heal in PvP for the short cast and instant effect.

yes im glad u mentioned the channeling aspect. Im level 74 with 6% total channeling, and it screws up the macro sometimes....the channeling is so fast sometimes u gotta be careful of the COOL-DOWN. I would love to be in a tw sometimes and been asking clerics who have. Light armored clerics eat up those hp shards i know that. Robe clerics, well i would like to hear some success stories from some and im positive there are but please share ur thoughts too. I would think that a robe user would want phys def/mag shards a bit of Vitality pumped and their seals well leveled for survivability. And each class has weaknesses and strengths and clerics can manipulate those to our advantage. There was a post i saw on certain combos for each class, for the life of me i forget. If i find the post i will try to post again with the link
