Wizard Help

I'm thinking about creating a Wizard, I'm not really sure which class to pick to stick with if you can't tell. I know that Wizards are the highest hitting class, which is why I'm giving it consideration. Here are some questions that I would like answered.

-What is a good point allocation?
-Should I have a pure mage build, hybrid, or light armour?
-Should I Focus on Fire, Water or Earth for spells?
-Is Wizard a good solo class, or should I find my way into ANY group I can find?

-Your point allocation should be on what type of mage you choose (pure= 9 int 1str)(light- 6int 2-str 2-dex)(not sure on hybrid lol)
-You don't really focus on any element as a wiz you will need them all and sue them all. You don't get any special bonuses by concentrating on one element other then upgrading that element faster.
-When you say solo if its pve, you wont need any help unless its a dungeon or bosses. If it's pvp then yes I would say you will need help.

well it depends on how you want your wizard
the most common is pure int, but u can also go light armor (these are the only 2 u can go that are any good)
only real problem with a pure int wizard is there low phy def, although there damage is great,
going light will increase your phy def a lot, combine this with the self buff stone barrier and u got very nice phy def
the magic attack difference from a pure wizard and a mixed wizard isnt that big either (so i have heard)
stat allocations for a pure would be
+5 mag
but only putting enough str to equip new weapons, dont waste them on vit, no point with the low def
on a mixed wizard, im not 100% sure, but this is what i do
+3mag,
+1str
+1dex
on each lvl
at pve wizards can rock, and with the correct combination of spells can kill most things b4 they even get close enough to cause damage (wizards get better at pve when ur higher lvl 90+)
pvp ur gonna be pretty useless till your much higher lvl and learn most spells also light wizards rock as they can take phy hits far better then a pure

FYI if playing on pvp server build a light wizard not a pure

What happened to that "shinning after 90" thing?

lool it is not shining...only a dawn but if you posses all skills and even in sag/demon form than those are shining...many stun effects.
And needs the best gear to survive as robe and with soulgems and refined as well...and in PWI cannot have the best gears yet so it cannot be a full potential wizard yet...I am meaning the rank gears too...and reputation here is almost nothing...

Eh, i have a wizz and having a lot of fun with it.
True, choosing wizz ain't the easy way to build a char. But I'm at my 3rd one so I kinda' got the hold of it. I went pure this time and I knew I had to save every penny for a kicka$$ wpn at lvl 40. So I did and I don't regret 1 bit. I can solo without issues (no kitting) the mobs my lvl+2, I'm doing quite some dmg in fbs(19-29-39), I can be a back-up healer (heal cleric/s) ...
Wizz is fun to play, but not easy. Want the easy way, build a Veno. You have a money making/lvl-up machine (I've seen a veno afk for about 4 or 5 hrs, herc was doing the job... i mean yeah, it's slow and you don't pick up drops, but xp goes up so ....)

side note: only works if the target is 15 lvl below or your weapon refine is 5 lvl higher than targets'b:surrender

Wizards aren't for everyone but that doesn't mean anyone who makes one will regret it. I love my wizard and wouldn't have it any other way.

Wood Element Damage Is something I need as a wisard but I'm not sure how to get it. I want to know If I have to level up first? Or Can I can I go buy it?
Please help I don't like to keep dieing.

I also need to know how to do the Bankers quest if you can help with that one too.

wiz does NOT have wood dmg, only fire, water and earth, and no metal dmg either

a wizard has the potential to become one of the most powerful classes in pve and pvp
they may be harder to use and seem weaker at the start but at a high lvl they rock, although they really are for the more active and dedicated player, rather then general play, go veno for that

WitchBurner - Sanctuary

Playing as a wiz is kinda like the hard mode for PW, if you want easy play as a veno.

IMO-playing on hard mode is so much more fun : )
