Should I get a Land Mount?

I was wondering if I should invest in a land mount cus I can't stand travelling via flying(slooooow)/teleporting(expensive) if I have another quest waiting on me right at the end of the other side of the map...b:surrender But as land mounts are still quite expensive to me now, I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to sell me one at a cheaper price? b:sad or should I just save the money and do something else lmaob:chuckle

    How fast you appear to travel is based on how close your vision is to the ground. Shorter characters appear to run faster than taller characters even though they go the same speed. Flying is almost always faster than running (how much faster depends on what kind of flight equipment you have) but it appears to be much slower because you are so far above the ground.

    Whether a land mount is worth it really depends on how impatient you are. You are correct that they are expensive, but if you really cannot stand flying everywhere then you may want to invest in one. I am currently level 75 and have never had a land mount and the only times I have ever wished I did was when racing to get resource nodes against a person that did have a land mount. Being a cleric I started the game with wings and fully upgraded them so they give me a +2.0 speed boost. That speed boost coupled with the fact that flying is an extremely safe form a travel is all I ever felt the need for. Just use the Alt+left click to set your target on your map and let yourself fly there. You can go afk or look stuff up on the web while you wait. If you set the height to 78 you do not have to worry about anything attacking you (unless it spots you while you are still climbing up to 78).

    Yeah, just make sure that your ascent is safe before you go afk. A couple of days ago I came back to my computer to realise that I had autopathed right into Krimson...b:cry
